  1. Looking at the economy and the current lack of direction from the top, it feels like the UK has quietly closed. A small notice on the door apologises to previous customers and says we hope to reopen if conditions improve. Which seems unlikely.
  2. Truss is now standing up for energy companies and defending their profits - she's nuts and clueless, please let them pick her! It'll be as corrupt, chaotic and dishonest as the last couple of years, but with added comedy value.
  3. Slightly patronising to kneejerk abusive simpletons? Oh yeah, that's me, guilty as charged - but hysterical, nah, don't be silly. 😎 Anyway, the whole affair was aimed at distracting the hard of thinking and it seems to have hit the target, so job done. And all the best to those people attempting grammar and punctuation courses at this difficult time.
  4. A made-up news story to distract and trigger a debate about anything other than the energy crisis and government chaos and corruption. It seems that a newspaper carried out its own special audit by sending out 300 foi requests and sadly discovered that only two books have been highlighted as a bit dated. Having seen their story fall at the first they decided to attack academics anyway and lump them in with our entire legal system that is now labelled as leftie, woke and full of traitors. Just the latest episode from the great spin machine, drip-feeding government messages to the simple since 2010.
  5. I can't believe that we are sleepwalking into an energy bills crisis because of profiteering. Everyone knows it's coming, everyone can see the profit margins, government has to intervene and upset shareholders. If they don't there will be millions of people freezing or bankrupt. But, but, it's the war, the war... Fuck off, the war just opened the door for huge corporations to profiteer - and they are filling their fucking boots at our expense.

    Che Adams

Let's be polite at this point and assume this is just half of the story. Sell Adams, create the funds to trigger the release of some great striker we've already spoken with, get another solid one in on loan - fantastic business, all wrapped up in 48 hours and ready to rock and roll against Leeds.... Either way, the next seven days could decide Ralph's future - and if it's selling Adams with no replacement then losing at the weekend, he won't need sacking, he'll need sectioning.

    Che Adams

If it's trolling then Adams shrugs his shoulders, the club ignores it as just another mad day - and the disruption level at SMS is zero. More disruption would be likely at the other end where Forest and Leeds forwards have just discovered though the media that both club managers have been lying about how much they rate them and are in reality trying to replace them.
  8. There have been loads of Brexit dividends if woke, sandal-wearing pinkos are prepared to take off their snowflake blinkers! Rees-Mogg has just explained how the safety signs in the Dartford Tunnel could soon be in yards instead of metres. So there, for just a few grand on new signage we have taken back control of our tunnel safety advice!
  9. Currently she just has to appeal to the membership so she's making up shit, over-promising and glossing over reality as a Johnson-continuity, Poundland Thatcher candidate. As soon as she's banked their votes and got in, she'll have to do a u-turn and start a campaign for the electorate about change, a fresh start, her previous work being nothing to do with her etc. The problem could be the trail of toxic soundbites she and Rishi have left.....all the stuff about how the government has failed, how the economy has been mis-managed, that's election campaign dynamite - and god help her if she takes the Thatcher impression to the former pit villages. It's going to be funny either way.
  10. Sunak running the football club? Imagine a short, smarmy, self-obsessed, power-crazy control freak in an expensive suit, looking after his mates and spending too much money because it's not his. He might get results, but it would be a toxic workplace and he'd bankrupt us with borrowing if he wasn't stopped - I'm guessing.
  11. I was surprised not to see more about the victory on TV today, barely a mention. The media seem more interested in some drunken karaoke competition in Trafalgar Square, how quickly they move on.
  12. Last time they achieved that they had a bus tour, called it Norris Day and still talk lovingly about it every anniversary. Meanwhile there is a rumour that TCWTB has been banned by the club for three games...
  13. Classy. Is she playing a blinder? 🤣
  14. Lammy and Abbot are often all over the place but let's be realistic here, Nadine Dorries has made more drunken blunders and chaotic gaffes in the last six weeks than those two have between them in a decade. Dorries doesn't tend to get the same amount of abuse in the media or online - I often wonder why.
  15. It was an entertaining uplifting watch and a great result. But I'm sure that if I try hard I can find something to be angry, negative or disappointed about.....
  16. He made the schoolboy error of trying to offer a dose of reality between the madshit - the Rory Stewart mistake of the last hustings when he said it was time to be cautious as the economy was on a knife edge, they hated that and dumped him immediately. Fantasy promises, that's all that the members want to hear, the more undeliverable the better - Sunak's gone with this bonkers negative stuff about energy bills that might go up and the mention of a war in Ukraine. Stop talking the country down with facts!
  17. Population of the UK - 67 million. Number of people sectioned each year under the mental health act - 50k. Number of people who think Boris should be on a ballot paper - 10k. Ratio of Jedi followers in the UK to Johnson followers - 39/1 Finished, he is.
  18. I'm more concerned about the quality of all our centre backs rather than the quantity.
  19. Should we really be surprised when people who Johnson has abused for six years choose to be uncooperative with solving our problem? His aggressive and dismissive policy towards foreigners, adopted to placate the 95% white membership who will decide our next PM, has been a masterclass in how not to negotiate or influence others for our benefit. The Dover sky is dark with chickens.
  20. Did anyone look into the legality of introducing IQ tests at Polling Stations?
  21. When you've happily sat around a cabinet table where shitbombs have been detonated most days, it's very difficult to wander around dripping and caked in shit pretending that you weren't there. But the handful of members will get what they want for their final years, Johnson Continuity - and if it's Truss, and I so hope it is because that will be shambolic, it'll be Johnson Continuity with extra comedy value. Invest in popcorn and incontinence pants before the market moves - demand will be unprecedented if Truss is unleashed.
  22. Mr Johnson is clearly unwell and has presumably been removed from office for his own wellbeing. His delusion, and his general confusion between facts and what he claims has happened is quite alarming, and if it wasn't some poor washed-up saddo having a very public breakdown, some might find it hilarious. The polite thing to do is to let him slip quietly away spouting self-congratulatory nonsense all the way to a padded cell, where he can then be given the meds and counselling that he so obviously requires. What a sad end to a career that never started.
  23. If we spent £30m on a player who stopped trying halfway through the season, I would campaign to have Ralph sectioned.
  24. This is an issue that should have been addressed up to six years ago. If the culture secretary wasn't a sycophantic and abusive drunk who lacks knowledge in every field, the sector might be in a better place. Then again, 17.4 million people did vote for touring musicians to be fucked over, so there's arguments both ways.
