Financial results for year ending 30 June 2013

Definately, his development of players is excellent, look at the way he has us playing, physical improvements etc and then even the increase in Lallanas awareness and decision making which IMO were lacking last year. Rodriguez seems to be becoming better at converting chances aswell. Top top coach. I think we need someone of that ilk up front imo -

Thought it was the other way around. Looking at the three (bony, benteke, lukaku) I think Benteke would be my overall choice, I think Lukaku is v good but the other two havnt really had afair crack of the whip infront of decent midfields. -
Why Lallana doesn't play for 90 mins. ....

Very chuffed, but these deals are always a bit of a risk. He wasnt setting the world alight at Lyon but then I dont think Bony or Benteke were overly expensive and have IMO been well worth the outlay. Basically though I think 20m over both positions (cb/st) is probably required though I imagine clearing ossie off the wage list will be a sticking point -
Deppo is teh scarlett pimpernell donchaknow

Really ? He has 6 goals in his entire career ? There is no way Id play him there, infact of the four (MS,JC,VW,SD) he is the last I would play further forward.

Yeah I would be very chuffed, obviously depends on the quality of the purchase but I think we would need to sink around 20m all in plus keep the players we have interested. And I think that spending the cash to prove ambition is the way to do that. Thats not me being pessimistic, its just how I think itll play out and personally I think the noises being made represent what will be a stern leave our players alone (great news) but we wont be making extravagant signings (unfortunate). -

I think this is basically it and what these announcements screamed of, its a tightrope though, if I was Lallana, shaw, morgan I would want to know ambition (commitment to spend) is there and I honestly am not sure if it is. -

Henderson is a good player. I wouldnt pay too much attention to the Comolli feat dagliesh spendathon
-
Cork in the advanced position ?
-
He will take Lambert, as good as he has been for us it may be too early for J rod.
-
This No surprise we went off the boil after he got his injury (though also Boruc)

Yup, but I was in newbury
-
And to think, the way he has lit up turin im pretty sure we wont have near that 15m this summer either
-
Not really, continually played out of position and not really given a consistant chance. What you say mimics what many thought about Sturridge, and his step down hasnt damaged him. In Welbeck I see a hungry young english CF with the attributes to play in our system and added benefit that he could interchange with J Rod should the need arise. I think given the right environment he will develop into a great little player. As per Utd fans, Im not saying your wrong Duncan, in fact I agree, he has outperformed RVP, my point is that fans are generally fickle, look at ours when Ossie landed on our plate, Lambert was all but forgotten. That will happen with Welbeck, a big striker signing and they'll forget all about him.
-
I dont think they would right now in all honestly, they probably should do but I can see a few of their top youngsters leaving due to Utd chasing glory and buying big. Welbeck and even Cleverley would probably progress quicker with a change of scenery

Pochettino likens Lallana to Iniesta, Xavi or Fabregas
Smirking_Saint replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
That was basically what I was saying, Barca is an example of highly skilled players being coached in an effective system playing basically with the same players, formation and tactics from formative years and onwards I wasnt playing down Lallanas ability at all -
Whys that then ?

Pochettino likens Lallana to Iniesta, Xavi or Fabregas
Smirking_Saint replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Most of that is due to the coaching that goes on there, the basis of that team have played together since day dot and the tactics have more or less never really changed much from youth level up. Dont get me wrong they are incredible players but the awareness bit cones from being so used to each other and the way they play. The Lallana comparisons are extreme as he isnt at their level IMO however his first touch and technique is incredible -
I dunno, I think that IF Utd do what everyone expects in the summer and spend big the DW could find himself surplus aswell. He wont go to any of the top four I dont think except for perhaps Arsenal if wenger releases the purse strings. He would certainly be a good fit for us and I dont personally think we would have to change anything at all.
-
Benteke, bony or welbeck would be my choice. Or obviously Lukaku but I think he will either be overpriced or chelsea wont want to let him go again, it depends if they are going big for a top top striker in the summer. Mourinho wasnt happy with the way he played, he wanted his strikers to work harder and I dont think RL agreed, hence the loan to everton similar to Mata being shipped out. We will see just how real this top 6 ambition is in the summer as without keeping our top players and spending on a top striker we wont achieve it.

Good work buddy.

Im in pure 3 times a week, well stocked, good classes, instructors are good and its cheap as chips. Wade is right though it can get v v busy, I only tend to use it for my weight work and try to get there early morning or early afternoon or else it just gets too busy. Its non contract though so if you get fed up with it you can cancel.
