Didn’t one of the reliable ITK members post a while back a cryptic message that something was going on behind the scene regards to Yoshida not playing? And didn’t another, or maybe the same, ITK member say that certain players that had been playing up under Puel and Pellegrino continue to do so? All sounds like something is going on and we don’t have a leader, like Cortese, who doesn’t tolerate this sh!t and sorts it out. (I am not ITK, have never been and all info came from this message board).

Agree with this. Let’s see how the players preform under a decent manager and then decide who should stay and who should go. I do agree that the last few transfers windows have been poor to say at the least.

I am shocked if this is true regarding the warmdowns / cooling downs and Sundays off. I work in sports and have worked with semi professional athletes and it’s basics to have a cooling down after a game and recovery training the day after. It’s those days fitness of the players is checked and recovery is enhanced through stretching, dry needling, massaging, hypervolt etc. If the club are ignoring these things it’s very worrying and injuries will be coming soon.

Time to move some/most players on, Hughes too.
-
Probably the reason why the players don’t improve. Poch seemed to be involved with everything when he was here. I am starting to lose confidence in Hughes and hope the club step in soon.
-
And arguably the best of all those signings were the 2 goalkeepers.
-
We should start by bringing in a Director of Sales, someone who is good at sales and could flog the majority of the squad. Then see what we can buy with the cash made.

Peter Bosz. Currently unemployed and likes to play attacking football. Downside to Bosz he is stubborn and won’t be told what to do. Overachieved at Ajax, failed at Dortmund.
-
Sack Hughes and replace him with who? Who would want to come to a club with a poor squad and many managerial sackings over the last few years?
-
At least someone on here is enjoying this game..
-
Over to La Liga and Carrillo played the full game for Leganes, but didn’t score. Pellegrino coached Leganes are now bottom of the league with 1 point out of 4 games.
-
Just to get an impression what kind of level the match was, this is the own goal Dordrecht scored.

Got the feeling we are going to see our first win of the season this afternoon.
-
Just signed for Sevilla for 20 million euro, just under 18 million pounds.
-
Deal seems to have fallen through after Sevilla changed their demands and Spartak decided not to sell.
-
Dutch media reporting that Promes is about to join Sevilla for 21 million euro’s, that makes that something around 19 million pound? Was it Promes that turned us down or Spartak our offer?
-
Are we playing 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2?

Yesterday Telstar lost 1-0 at home against MVV Maastricht. Seagar started but was subbed in the 69th minute. Telstar usually finish between 8th and 14th, last year they had a exceptionally good season and made it to the first round of the play offs for promotion to the Eredivisie. They lost to the Graafschap who finished 1 place above them.
-
Today Telstar started their campaign with a 1-0 loss away at RKC Waalwijk, Seagar played the full game.

This exactly. It felt like we were all part of it and like you say we new the players personally. Remember the videos posted on social media contained the players laughing and having fun whilst training. When Rickie scored it almost brought a tear to my eye.

Clasie update: Yesterday the Dutch Eredivisie also started their new season. Feyenoord lost 2-0 away from home at newly promoted De Graafschap (the club we bought Steve de Ridder from). According to Dutch media Clasie failed miserably and looked a fish out of water. They said you could see he hasn’t played regular football for ages and physically he was out of shape.

Is Hughes the problem? He has done well at other clubs and has been around long enough in the PL. I think the problem lies by our player recruitment over the last years, paying to much for reserve players at other clubs. This summer was the first since years we reverted to buying players who were more or less stand out players at their clubs. It’s going to take a while until we can get the balance right with the players.

My guess the line up it looks something like: ———————— McCarthy ——————- —— Stephens ——Vestergaard—— Hoedt —— Cedric ——————————————————— Bertrand —————- Lemina ——————- Romeu ————- ——————————- Armstrong —————————- ——- Redmond ——————————- Austin —————

Against Brighton? Could it have been in the Championship?

Telstar start their campaign next Friday evening. The Dutch second division, the Keuken Kampioen Divisie (in English the Kitchen champions division) mainly play their games on Friday evening. I’ll update this thread every Friday after the game to let you all know how Seagar got on.
