  1. we have had buttons on shirts before, the Sanderson sponsored shirt from 96 springs to mind. Buttons aren’t new, niether are collars with them
  2. That’s ok actually
  3. Oh it has a whiff of intrigue about it for sure but there are a fair few guns being jumped at present. They are paying the club money for the honour of advertising them, not the other way round.
  4. Am I missing something here ? Are they not merely a sponsor ? Therefore unlike say, oh i dont know, an owner, they cant actually take any money or anything (except the ****) out of the club, they dont have a say on how the club is run or anything (like Virgin media didnt) like that. Dont they purely pay the club a sum of money either upfront or over a three year period to advertise their name on the front of a shirt ? If they dont cough up the contract is null and void and the club, with a degree of egg on the face, look for another sponsorship deal. So why the cries of "foul, this stinks" ? If it does its not the end of the world, its not like we have some dodgy owner........
  5. and? We have had away kits that have been blue, yellow and blue, dark and light blue.....
  6. Thats where his heart always was isn’t it ?
  7. with all due respect any manager who can turn Redmond into the player he’s become since Christmas, make Ward Prowse perform much better, get a team that looked like it was doomed out of the mire with wins against Arsenal, Spurs, a draw away to Chelsea and a couple of very decent performances against Liverpool at home and Man Utd away has got something about him. Make no mistake, the squad he’s inherited is average at best, their weaknesses are there for all to see. Complete faith in Ralph to address that and get a team firing again.
  8. Not to mention nobody in the current squad is remotely good enough for what they want now
  9. That’s the one they wanted. They will go nuts if they win Champions League of course but the league title is what they really want.
  10. Poch, Wanyama and Toby or Van ****, Lovren and Lallana. Easy choice for me, Spurs all the way......just for the one night of course
  11. same but I can’t work out who that would be
  12. well they are right
  13. He will be gutted
  14. That does kind of confirm he will be here next season yeah
  15. Good to see Romeu and PEH have given to the cause
  16. Less than £45,000 short of the million with bucket collections still to add. Would be nice if the club made up that shortfall......or the players had a whip round.....
  17. Yeah exactly. Ralph warned us there would be changes to give squad players the chance to impress. Not a big surprise that by and large they didnt. Ralph had to look at Forster if only to see if he is good enough to be No. 2 next season, that gives the club the option of shifting either him or McCarthy. I would hope he has made up his mind about Stephens. A few quotes in the Echo today about Yoshida and Vestergaard being unavailable and resrticting choice kind of reads to me like he knows Jack is not a long term solution. I would hope the club will try to cut its losses on Moi, hes not up to it clearly. If they could get rid of Moi, Stephens, Austin, Gallagher, Boufal, Hoedt, Cedric, Forster or McCarthy and possibly Reed that would be some great work but I fear the takers wont be queueing around St Marys for any of them.
  18. He’s only playing because Vestergaard and Yoshida are out. Play a kid next week against Huddersfield as it’s cruel to keep picking him, his confidence must be shot to ******
  19. Phil Thompson - “bad defending by Jack Stephens.....3-0” says it all
  20. Interesting to see the newly self proclaimed Elite on the South Coast are in actual fact the bottom south coast team
  21. I hope he doesnt feel like he's failed by having to miss out on Day 5 as nothing could be further from the truth. His own health however is the most important thing and I hope for his sake he can complete the last two days, or the last one in Southampton at least.
  22. I’m sure he is. I hope for his sake if he plays he has a great game no matter what the score. Mentally he must be in a much better place than the last time he played for the first team. Its unfortunate for Forster however that he will have Stephens in front of him. I thought Yoshida was ill last week and fully expected him to be back for Saturday.
  23. well they are now 2 down so.......
