oh they are gonna love him arent they ?
-
He wouldn’t understand that, I think it’s at least two people using the same name given the number of contradictory statements “he” makes
-
He’s playing for Birmingham tonight
-
He’s a goal scorer, if you play a system where all he has to do is get his arse in the penalty box at every opportunity he will score goals. Doesn’t surprise me if four clubs are in for him.
-
I must say I like the look of Johnson against Derby. Put in some decent crosses. Shame he got booked and taken off half time. Valery will be good, would like to see Hesketh given a chance, same with Sims. Obafemi will be good if he works on his finishing and, going by what Ralph said, his fitness too. I’m really not sure about Gallagher and Slattery. Admittedly only seen bits and pieces of them but if Ralph thinks they are good enough that will do me.
-
To be fair Warnock's style would probably suit him.
-
This. Its ok though cos we wont get anymore injuries and wont need back up players, let alone experienced pros if things go tits up results wise in the next couple of months.
-
or to look at it another way - if Valery loses his head against Zaha and gets sent off again who is covering right back ? An 18 yr old who just isn’t ready yet ? When Ings gets injured again, and he will, would you rather have Gabbi or Gallagher to call on ? If you are selling these players then fine BUT if you are loaning them out for a few months to save on wages and not bringing anyone in because these players could well be back on the wage bill come May then that is a risky game to play with the clubs immediate future.
-
Lets just hope for all our sakes the shifting on, albeit all as loans, of these players doesn’t bite us on the ass and cocky posters don’t end up looking even more stupid.
-
He won’t be coming here before the summer at least.
-
unless I’m reading too much into it there won’t be a new right back coming in until at least the summer. Valery/Ramsay it is then..........brave call I think
-
No i do "get it" and to be honest I was ok with what was going on up until Cedric. I think losing him and Austin is one step too far. Trim by all means - especially in the summer as I said - but bare bones in a relegation battle is very brave. A couple of injuries and what happens then ? Ramsay or Cedric come in - umm, let me think ? No choice now though is there !
-
BUT all are experienced and seasoned pros who - possibly with the exception of Hoedt - all add something to a squad in relegation trouble. Its all very well selling these established pros who are on over blown wages to bring in money to strengthn but we havent, we have loaned them out in an effort to save what, in the scheme of things, is peanuts. A squad over haul in the summer is brilliant, just what we need but to get rid of some of these players in January to save a few quid is a dangerous exercise unless a couple of faces do come in by the end of Thursday. If we have a bad run and the kids go to bits the team will be calling out for old heads who can come in, do a job, and settle the nerves. Relegation would cost a hell of a lot more than the savings they are making over the next few months especially if this lot come back in May because they arent wanted. I think the board are being naieve.
-
agreed. If Valery gets injured/sent off/loses form before the end of the season what do we do? Play an 18 yr old who isn’t ready? Ralph may not rate Cedric BUT to have a player who is a full international able to come in - and play either side I might add - is a hell of a lot better than the alternative we have left ourselves with
-
Ralph must have a hell of a lot of belief in Valery IF we aren’t bringing a replacement for Cedric in until the summer
-
Cardiff are saying (according to BBC Wales) that the player made his own arrangements and the plane/flight was nothing to do with them.
-
£5 million wouldn’t buy his left leg in the current transfer market
-
havent they just, utter dross
-
Romeu ? WTF
-
Yes and having had to play for two and a half years under **** head managers he must be really frustrated to be joining the Ralph revolution late.
-
Palace is the hardest one to try and predict out of that run. They can be very average or very very good. Usually save the best for the big teams and they have got a Cup match next weekend against a big team. Cardiff is the key one for me. Keep them below us and we should be fine.
-
He looks solid and composed on the ground, when the ball comes flying through the air it’s not quite the same story
-
nothing to do with playing out of position then ?
-
He’s coming along nicely, improving every game
-
In fairness he hasn’t got a lot of choice at the moment
