I liked Adam Hammill.....there I've said it oh and Belmadi - the midfield guy who played in the Championship for us when Redcrapp was here.

Not really concerned no. Davis K, Davis S, Cork, Chaplow, Fox have Prem experience. I will be a little concerned if the new centre half hasnt got experience or is a bit older than the players we have signed so far. I think of all positions centre back and keeper are the ones where you need a bit of knowledge of the league you are in.

He appears to be taking his time.....how many years so far has this circus been going on ?

You can see why the club never announce transfers or transfer targets until everything is signed and sealed cant you ? All this excitement on here about a new signing and it may not happen.

I prefer to think of him as some old gent living deep in the heart of the New Forest who has probably come to a computer as the original silver surfer. He likes the simple things in life and cannot get his head around anything more than the basics of football....at a push. He thinks his musings on signings, style of play, the manager and Cortese are both refreshingly different and ground breaking. He knows what he wants, he knows what he likes.....he just hasnt got a ****ing clue about real life :-)

Yes its a double disc set for £17. Disc 1 is all the goals from 2010/11 and runs for just under 1 hour. Disc 2 is all the goals from 2011/12 and runs for just over an hour. Bonus footage is 33 mins of highlights of the Coventry game plus dressing room celebrations and celebrations on the balcony plus Solent's interviews with players. Not bad actually.

If this is correct what happened to the days when clubs only got permission to speak to players AFTER the fee was agreed ?

I dont recall you saying that when Walsall and Rochdale beat us towards the end of the season :-) And Championship to PL was not a stagger over the line. West Ham staggered over the line by going up through the play offs. We were 1 win from winning the league, exactly the same as we were the season before :-)

I fail to understand why fellow Saints fans are described as "sad" and "utter mongs" for queueing up on a Sunday lunchtime to buy the new shirt on launch day. WTF is wrong with some people on here, what are they doing wrong by wanting it today ? Not like everyone has skipped work to rush down and buy it is it ? You cannot be serious ? Just think through what you are talking about here - a football shirt that will only be worn for ONE year ffs !! I dont particulalry like the shirt, its ok but not brilliant, but to say its come out to undermine the fan base is ridiculous.

Its strange that the marketing photo shows players stood side by side in alternate kits thus creating a red and white stripe look. Hey why didnt you go one better and have ONE shirt with red and white stripes to create the Southampton look ?
