Absolutely. Anyone would keep hold of a player for an extra few weeks if it means they can get extra cash in.
-
Which is always what happens with this transfer window business. Just look at Andy Carroll to Liverpool. There is no way they would have paid that much had there been no transfer deadline. Its pretty standard practice nowadays which is why there is a lot to be said for concluding deals at the start of the window whenever possible.

Its probably in an effort to speed it up. I expect the doctor has a pen and the contract in his bag
-
yeah but who is he ?
-
he might sign before the Yoshida transfer makes the OS.......its been a fkin long 10 mins. i know its confirmed but even so......
-
Please God let it be Ramirez........I bet it isnt but please........

I bet the next transfer news on the OS is NOT about Ramirez after all this !!

I am amazed that NC hasnt lost patience and walked away as has seemingly happened before. Still perhaps an Italian dealing with Italians means a different set of rules
-
Christ you live up to your name dont you ? They havent goit much money, there isnt a lot in Italian football full stop like there was years ago. Dont need to be quite so aggressive when someone is trying to tell you something that is pretty common knowledge do you ?

As is usual you have grabbed hold of the wrong end of the stick. He wants to come here because he will play regularly in the premiership (well for a season anyway ). Ok yeah he will get shed loads of dosh but he likely would anywhere he went. Its not him or his agent holding things up, it is the selling club and/or this 30% ownership thing with the Uruguian club. Why dont you read things before posting ?

I wish I sat next to you at St Mary's, you always make me feel positive and better when things arent going smoothly (and if you are reading this Martyn, the other side, not your seat mate !! )
-
Is it accepted that this 4-3-3 is NOT Nigel's idea then ?
-
Didnt say he was did I ? I'm saying at the start of his career with us and in the prem its a bit unfair on him. Unless you know him personally you cant say that this might knock his confidence can you ?
-
Yeah thats exactly my point. He is being asked to play in his least favoured position but also being asked to make the step up from the standard he is used to. Given NA's usual intelligence when it comes to players this one leaves me totally confused. Its almost like he is playing to justify the money spent on him but is not doing himself or the manager justice. When he could have played at centre forward in Rickie's absence at City we went with Guly for whatever reason.
-
Not if we keep playing him out of position he wont. I feel sorry for him, he is a centre forward, this is his first taste of premiership football and the poor sod is being asked to play out wide on the left. Madness IMHO.
-
make that 3 of us then
-
Please please can they get rid of that bloody pop up screen EVERYTIME you go to the site ? Its driving me bloody nuts......oh and yes it is so slow and my broadband speed is pretty good usually.
-
you never know on here to be fair

De Ridder injured ?

We have a fantastic Championship squad but we are playing in the Premiership and the problem that lies with this bring in young and hungry players lies in the fact that if they get off to a decent start the confidence will grow. If things dont go their way that confidence will go very quickly. Looking at the next two fixtures I really worry that if we dont bring in 3 or 4 Premiership class players by Friday then we are going to struggle big time. I am disappointed the signings for the dodgy positions have not been made by now. I trust they will be made in the next few days. If we are buying these young players such as Jay Rod can we at least play the poor sod in his best position to at least give him a fighting chance ?

David Goodwillie ? No thanks, I would rather stick with Puncheon, and thats saying something !

After the way Fox was exposed time and time again on Sunday its just as well. Now all the Fox fans will crucify me for that I'm sure but before you go too mad just take a look subjectively at him on Saturday at how often he leaves his man completely or gives him acres of space. Teams will soon target that flank when playing against us.
