Its not a Tuesday though

The ..aren't you glad we didn't buy them thread.
beatlesaint replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
You cant possibly say that cos you just dont know what Adkins and his coaching staff might have done to turn a raw 18 year old into a bloody fine player. He was good for us, better than he has been anywhere else. Coincidence or not ? Who knows but I just dont understand this mentality that slags him off whenever possible. Have a look at the JPT Final DVD again ;-) -
I can concentrate a bit better today than I could Tuesday but its still dragging....
-
Not nervous at all. We have three shots at this promotion malarky. Win Saturday and its all over......if we dont - West Ham fail to beat Leciester on Monday and its all over......if they do - Beat Coventry and we are up. Simples......the time to panic will be if there are 5 minutes left against Coventry, we are drawing and the Hammers are winning by enough to pip us.
-
This cannot be evenly remotely accurate. Everyone knows that the world's greatest fans would be top of this table for ANY league, not just the Championship. I demand a recount.....another blatant example of people picking on Portsmuff !!!
-
No, 5 goals better

Will WHU now concentrate on the play-offs?
beatlesaint replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Big Sam can decide what team to play after we have played Saturday, Its irrelevant anyway, we just do what we do, control the controlables -
There is a hell of a lot of wishful/hopeful thinking going on here with talk of use winning and West Ham losing etc. I hope those optimists are right but I really cant see West Ham slipping up, well not tonight anyway.
-
Bloody hell, out for almost 3 full games and turns into a superhero ;-)
-
Only one player who played against Birmingham is out, the rest have been out injured for a while. Still I think West Ham will win......as long as we do no problem.

Should Brighton be investigated for Saturdays game ?
beatlesaint replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
If you want to investigate this alpine then perhaps you should ask for Crystal Palace to be considered as they put a lot of youngsters out against us last Monday. Or Barnsley against us, West Ham and just about everyone they have played all season..... -
Agree with this......in fact question marks over the whole defence IF we go up.......but lets worry about that later :-)
-
That pretty much sums them up last season too. You only have to look at the number of goals they let in. Difference this year is that they are playing against better defences and haven't got CMS.

Top 5 reasons not to give a f*ck if we go up or not
beatlesaint replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
Who are these "few key players" we might lose if we dont go up then ? The only ones I can think of that people might be remotely interested in are Rickie and Lallana, although Rickie's age may well put them off and thats IF the club acepted offers for them and IF they wanted to leave. They both signed long term contracts in the last year and niether could have thought in their wildest dreams we would be in this position after just one season back in the Championship. So who else would be wanted by Premiership clubs ? None of the defence or keeper for a start, apart from Lallana none of the midfield, possibly Cork but I doubt it, and none of the forwards apart from Rickie. We are a good team, but team is the operative word. On an individual basis there isnt that much that would be calling out to Prem teams. Thats not saying as a team we wouldn't be any good in the Prem before everyone starts having a go :-) -
I can understand why they dont want to reveal the extent of players injuries but its so frustrating. Take Connolly for example. Injured his knee in a collision against Barnsley and hasnt been heard of since.....so it was obviously more than just a knock.

West Ham will win today, I would put my mortgage on it.
-
He obviously missed his sprint back into the penalty area to take the ball off the Reading guy when he looked to be in the clear. I thought he had a great game when he came on. All this "no end product" is ******** cos unless someone actually scores every ball into the area can count as no end product ! The usual proble when De Ridder comes on is that we dont pass to him. last night we did and I thought his link up play with Butterfield and Lambert was very good.
-
For two games. In the last couple he played he was bloody rubbish, its you who are re-writing history. Typical Puncheon pattern, good for a while then slips into old habits. Waste of space.
-
is that the same Peterbro who have lost 9 at home this season ? If thats good I would like to see what you class as average at home ;-)
-
Dont see that at all I'm afraid. I would think home to Forest and Crystal Palace is as comfortable for them as it gets.....more comfortable than Peterbro and Middlebro away anyway.

Wow ! I would love to have seen his article from a few years ago when gangs of skates were waiting to ambush Saints coaches on their way back to civilisation.

They have still managed 16 attempts on goal though, in 80 minutes. -

Would this be the wrong time to say I would rather Brighton get a result at Upton Park on Saturday ? -

Well at least Brighton are proving one thing and thats if you go at them you will get chances....plenty of them by the sound of it !!
