Thing is with Lambert proving already he will score goals in this league Jay Rod looks an expensive sub to me. I think if he continues to be plonked out on the left it will destroy his confidence cos he just isnt very good in that position. NA has had two chances to play him in his favoured position, against Man City from the start then again today as a straight swap for Rickie. He has not taken either.

So before the changes we had a big centre forward who was causing them all sorts of problems and two lively small tricky wingers each side of him who were doing the same. After the changes we had a small centre forward who never had the ball knocked in behind their centre backs for him to run onto and show his strength which is his pace and two playing out wide who are both big guys, one of whom is a centre forward and the other who is, umm, Guly, both of whom are niether lively or tricky !! So we changed the whole look and effectiveness of the front line ? Brilliant.

Isnt it about time the Fox defenders took off the rose coloured glasses a litle bit ? How many times, especially in the first half, did United launch their attacks down our left hand side ? They had clearly identified that we play with a left back who has no understanding of sticking to his man and believes giving them as much space and time as they need will hopefully confuse the hell out of them - it doesn't !! I sincerely hope I am wrong but I think Fox will become the biggest liability in our defence. He puts pressure on the centre backs by letting his winger/wide man get so much ball into the box cheaply. As has been said the number 3 shirt was not left free for no reason. Such a pity we couldnt bring one of our targets in. Fox wasn't convincing in The Championship and he certainly isn't convincing in The Premiership.

Totally agree. Last straw for me today with Guly. Came on and was totally pointless. Check out their second goal on TV for starters if you aren't convinced. The subs were a disaster. Mayuka has been signed for his pace yes ? So why didnt we knock the ball over Ferdinand and Vidic and let him chase the ball so play to his strength ? Isnt the whole point of "tweeting" to tell followers what you are doing or thinking at any one time ?
