I really didnt believe we would win today, I thought it looked a draw written all over it, but first half we were superb at times. Wasn't too keen on Richardson last season but he has been very solid this season, Hooiveld looked ok to me, I know some dont agree. Fox does worry me with his marking, I am still preferring Harding at the moment but its early days, only his second full game. For me Connolly was man of the match. I cannot think of a cleverer forward wearing the Saints shirt in many many years. He was outstanding today and some of the link up play with Lallana is out of this world. Guly had a quiet game apart from the superb finish and Chaplow certainly made a difference when he came on. Closes people down well and makes lots of little darting runs. Top of the League eh ? Fkin delighted :-)

Yeah, havent heard this weeks episode but last week was a classic exchange - Int - do you think there is a discipline problem Steve ? Cot - What ? Have we had more bookings than anyone else then ? Int - Yes you have. Cot - Well that can happen..... ***** !

Its not his fault, he has a bare bones squad, he has injuries, refs are out to get them, they have no luck, the youngsters he plays have no experience, their discipline is good its just that refs dont realise it when they brandish their red cards without hesitation blah blah blah... It must all be true, he tells me on Solent every other bloody week while I am driving home from St Marys !

Phew, thank God its not just me then ! I said to my old man Saturday I didnt think Jose had been as good this season and the reply I got was "well he's up against better players isn't he?" I think the point made about not having a steady influence like RJ next to him is a very valid argument.

I actually felt embarrassed listening to him on SSN. The guy is quite clearly not playing with a full deck and is just slightly mad.

Thats pretty much it ! He was often caught a long long way away from the winger he was supposed to be marking.

They believed their own publicity a bit too much I think, and you cant blame them for that. As I said before Mitchell's main problem is that he comes out with these statements about players not leaving then less than 24 hours later they have gone, and he has done it on at least 3 occasions that i can think of. Sometimes its best to keep your mouth shut but Mitchell gets a bit carried away it would seem. Bloody funny tho :-)

I trace their turn of fortunes back to our win at Dean Court last season. Knocked the stuffing out of them and its been a downward spiral ever since. Thats what I will be telling the next little Cherry that gives me stick for wearing a Saints shirt/jacket around Bournemouth anyway :-)

I must say I am more concerend about Fox's idea of being a left back than I am about the performance of Jos in the middle of defence. Burnley fans had it spot on about his defence lapses, the number of times he was almost in a different post code to the winger was alarming. Those who criticise Harding would do well to take note of his replacements performance. Its a good job Fox is quick cos he needs to be. The second left back we have signed (with Dickson) that looks a much better bet for left midfield. Still his distribution and attacking play looks good so if NA and co. can sort him out defensively he will be very very good.

If I was a Forest fan I would have been livid to see Miller taken off for that useless Billy Big Balls. Fortunately I am not so was delighted to see him come on and do exactly as i predicted, ie - **** all ! Well done Steve, great substitution !

Probably the best place I have ever visited. We stayed a couple of times on the Upper West Side which is more relaxed than Times Square etc but walking New York City is the real treat, so much to see and do. Would agree with all the sites mentioned by others and you get some great views walking across the Brooklyn Bridge.....but Brooklyn is no great shakes to be honest. As for food, Pappa Gumps in Time Square is a little expensive but good, a nearby bbq place called Spankys do some great chicken and steak meals and whatever you do find an old fashioned diner somewhere in manhattan for breakfast, dont do brekkie at the hotel, all New Yorkers go out for breakfast. You will see why ! Have a great time.

I think it will have, I cant imagine Dan will be fit to play for several months having sustained a head injury.

I think a lot of the problem is, as he did with this transfer window, he says barely 24 hours before the window shuts that nobody will be leaving or arriving at Dean Court then before the ink is dry on that story someone has gone, in this case Feeney. Once is excusable but this is at least the third time he has done it....and that doesnt include the Eddie Howe debacle.
