How many of our players are CCC standard ?
beatlesaint replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
and Lancashire plus Jake Thompson. -
I assume they dont buy the Green and Gold scarves from the official club shop then ?
-
Not Pardew players ? Are you serious ? He praises Lallana and Morgan every chance he gets, he is yet to drop either of them and are so much centre to his vision its untrue.
-
At last, a voice of reason, as so many of your posts are.

2 out of 4 IMO. Connolly will still be here on a pay as you play, similar to what he is on now.....why would you lose someone that classy who even playing only half the games will still net you a dozen goals ? Please expalin your logic. Jaidi signed a two year contract, end of story. Perry and Murty will go yes....as will Molyneux, Pulis, Lancashire etc

I have no doubts about that so I stick with my opinion that if we are not in the top 6 come Christmas AP will be gone. I sincerely hope we are top and about 6 points clear come 25th December cos this is the best manager we have had for many a long year.

Hence the need for a Director of Football role to act as a buffer !
-
Indeed, you would think they were the only team ever to be docked points. We know its wrong, get over it.............altho having said that a few who were responsible are still there of course !!
-
oh brother...................he only joined us 6 or 7 weeks ago.
-
I guess they just ran out of "48 hours"......
-
Morgan has a sore knee.
-
Yeah and I can say without fear of contradiction that they, and he, were wrong !

There is absolutely no guarantee or nothing to suggest that the club would re-emerge as a healthy financial entity. There is nothing to suggest it would become an attractive proposition for a potential buyer because - a - there is no guarantee it would start life in the CCC on 0 points b - there is still the little matter of renting the ground, the land around it etc c - the fact there is, as Steve Claridge keeps trying to point out, no infrastructure at the club. d - there would be significant money needed to buy a team to compete in the CCC. Rupert Lowe, Portaloo, young players not ready ring any bells ? I'm sure there are many more but thiose will do off the top of mu head.....

I would think they will be on very shaky ground when it comes to Financial irregularities. Look at Luton and as you say, to a lesser degree, Bournemouth. I dont think the -9 from the Premiership will be the end of any points deductions somehow.

I notice over 6 hours after your post you havent come back and apologised for a rant at the club when the error is clearly yours. You never let a fact get in the way of a good old rant do you ? BTW is that seat at the Emirates still got your name on it ??

Sounds like Pinnacle

But I thought Harry Redknapp no less had described Storrie as a "real football man who is honest as the day is long"............
-
No, you are absolutely right, it makes no logical sense, but if football made logical sense it would be a lot more boring. Leeds going to Man Utd and winning made no logical sense but it happened. I just dont think we will beat them for a fourth time.....obviously i hope i am wrong
-
Unforutnately I think we will just miss out, probably by about 5 points. Law of averages if nothing else suggests we will not beat MK Dons again.....to beat a team 4 times in one season is one hell of an ask. I think the optimism following one very good result is good, but its only on a par with the over the top negatvivity that was evidient on this board when we drew at Exeter.
-
Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Everton are 4 of their last 12......I assume you mean the other 8, mainly against teams who are desperate for points like Burnley and Bolton are the easy ones do you ?
-
Why is Pompey 'a fantastic football club'?

Pass............unless he thinks he may get a job there one day.........if they exist. -
There have been 4 times this season where Jaidi has played Saturday/Tuesday/Saturday so I really dont see a problem in keeping him in. He has had a period out of the side recently anyway so he cant be tired or unable to play games in succesion I wouldnt have thought. If he cant play though then that should be the only change AP makes. When Connolly is fit I would play him, or alternate him with Barnard. Connolly is by far the cleverest forward we have, is proven in the Premiership, and makes space for Lambert. For once we really do have an embarrassment of riches
-
I'm sure Millwall thought Wycombe would be an "easier" game too !! Until we have no chance of play offs the only rest Rickie should be getting is dependant on us killing teams off with 20-25 mins to go, then he can be taken off. I would be surprised if AP starts protecting Lambert a little bit until Connolly is fit and available anyway.
