Since the end of lockdown 1 back in June he has been bloody awful, varying degrees of awful, but awful none the same. The constant arm waving, pointing to others and generally trying to blame his team mates for his bad touch, bad decision, abysmal shot is, in my mind, shithousery at its worst. He is typical of the shrinking violet mentality this group of players has. First half against Leeds he popped up and fucked up here and there, second half when the wheels fell of I thought I had missed Ralph taking him off, totally anonymous.

Things you can’t blame Ralph for - the injury situation, players poor choices during games, players unable to hit a barn door when shooting, VAR and dodgy ref decisions, no backing from the owner re bringing in players. Things you can lay at Ralph’s door - wanting a small squad, consistently poor substitute choices, inability to change the game for the better when things start to go wrong, being out thought by managers like Steve fkin Bruce, stubbornness regarding selection of some players.

I don’t understand where Ralph has suddenly got this idea from that Redmond can play as a striker, has he been speaking to Puel? 🤣 The whole Redmond thing is a puzzle, when he came back from injury he was on the bench, even at Old Trafford when he had been back a while and we were scrabbling for fit players. Then all of a sudden he’s front and centre and key to how we set up !

The main difference between the Cedric and Valery loans is that Cedric was on big wages so there was some financial sense in the decision. Valery must be one of the lowest paid in the squad so the savings must be minimal.

To be fair he hasn’t/isn’t making much of a fist of it, he is in the history books as captain of a team that’s not only lost 9-0 for the second time in 18 months (yes I know he wasn’t captain for the first one) but now holds the club records of most consecutive league defeats and counting going by the next three fixtures.
