  1. Isn’t £50m the buy back for Tino?
  2. The word “only” being huge here. Happy with the signings so far but we have to get attacking midfield and especially a couple of strikers just right. I really can’t cope with another season of watching Redmond tit around.
  3. LOL Jim Branning ! Still one of the most bizarre things I have ever seen at St Mary's
  4. Always easy to tell what kind of person someone is by the way the club announce their departure. Safe to say Shane was viewed in very high regard.
  5. Sorry but this made me laugh - Carl Martin, who led Saints Under-18s to the Premier League South title last season, moves up to support the senior side, with particular focus on work in possession of the ball. 🤣🤣
  6. Hopefully cos he’s going
  7. I guess Man City are our new Chelsea then?
  8. I have no problem with signing these young players for £10-15 million (or less in Tino’s case) but I really think we need a couple of players with sound Premier League experience. Or are we sticking with the old guard of Redmond, Long, Stephens etc to provide that? God help us if we are.
  9. wow, good luck to him then, he's gonna need it !
  10. I dont see why they couldnt have put the big red stripe down the back, theres plenty of room for the shirt number if thats what the concern with stripes is.
  11. The Keegan "Patrick" kit in reverse. No problem with that......altho i do hope the back isnt a plain all over red panel
  12. No it’s not 😏
  13. I wouldn’t trust Ralph with £75 million, so no.
  14. One word - Vestergaard.
  15. I would suspect Chelsea might prefer to loan him out for another season to see if he’s worth them sticking with or moving on.
  16. Saw a you tube interview about his “leaving” Sky Sports. He’d been warned there about some of his tweets. He did make one point that was 100% right when he questioned them over still employing someone who spat at a young girl in a car, namely Carragher. Unfortunately he’s started to come across as a bit arrogant, sort of a “I know better than you” attitude.
  17. Oh come on you know better than that. He was dropped in favour of Tino for the first few games of the season. It was only after working on being a left back that he got back in. He really was “dropped”
  18. The Covid stuff was one thing, when he started turning his attentions to the war in the Ukraine was when he fell off the cliff for me.
  19. The only importance I can see to how easy or difficult a start we have is if you believe that Ralph’s job is on the line if we get off to a bad start.
  20. Seriously? He may not have left on bad terms but he wanted to go to Villa to challenge for European places (his words, not mine), obviously Southampton wasn’t big enough for him. So you don’t see coming back with his tail between his legs as eating humble pie? Ok, well it’s irrelevant cos it won’t happen
  21. With each passing day its more and more likely yes. Oh im so looking forward to seeing Long, Stephens, Redmond, Moi, Bednarek and Diallo in and around the first eleven.
  22. There would be so much humble pie having to be eaten from both sides before it happened there's just no way it will.
  23. No chance
  24. Hope Eddie hasn’t sold his house near Sandbanks !!
  25. Dont forget when we were having a semi decent run this past season many people commented that the midfield flowed better and moved the ball on quicker while JWP was out injured so the pedestrian feel isnt new.
