I'd agree with the OP but with Gardos if he is anything like match fit. Can't see Sunderland having any confidence or commitment at all for this fixture, although I've been bitten in the arse by these comments before. If we do go out... meh. The EL group is so delicately balanced I'd rather keep as many fresh as possible and Chelsea next is a big game.

Another game the media will sweep under the rug as 'City's poor form continues'. They were substandard but we played a large part in making them look so. Romeu, Fonte, Virgil and Redmond lol superb IMO. I gave the latter motm if only for such a well taken and clinical goal and being so alert. Boufal is clearly a quality player on the ball but looked off the pace today. Can only be expected really, City away is hardly easing him into things. His composure to set up a change for Austin, who should have been more composed himself, was great to see and he will unlock a few defences this season I feel.

I like Clasie, or at least I don't agree with a lot of the stick he gets on here, but if someone offered me Morgan in his place I'd take it in a heartbeat. That is taking the massive assumption that he would agree to a pay cut and still be motivated.

We've done nothing other than lose on our last 5 visits. Last time we got a result Beattie, Phillips and Pahars were up front.
