Will try and avoid the game as much as possible. I couldn't stand yet another game of clinging to hope for 85 minutes only to see them throw it away just before the finish line.

The problem is basically that teenage girls are stupid. As long as that remains the case, Simon Cowell will always be there to make money out of them. Teenage boys are stupid too, that's why we have Nuts magazine and Blink 182.

Without meaning to be rude, do your relatives lend any credibility to this rumour, other than the fact that they happen to live in Liverpool? It's a pretty predictable rumour and it's been posted on here before, but I can't really see much in it. Liverpool seem to go for younger player and bigger names.

Leicester have nothing to play for. West Ham will win. We should do the business against Coventry, but this is Saints. We never do things the easy way.

Just checking in with the 8am roll call, sorry I'm late. About to set off from sunny Brizzle. Can't wait!!! A 747 could not land at Southampton. Even a 737 couldn't get in there, the runway is too short (and too narrow for a 747) even if it was empty.

Having thought about it, the best last line I can come up with is: Leeeeee Barnard, his lawyer's f**king great

A few of us in the Premier Inn on Hartlepool Marina.

Gordon Bennett, you cannot be serious? I don't agree he's class for a start. I've seen him go missing against some pretty average NpC teams this season. He's getting older, he has injury problems and he's been averaging about 5 goals a season for several years now? How on Earth do you see a place for him in the squad along with Lambert, Sharp, Lee, Guly and a probable new signing. You want 6 strikers on the books when we can only have 2 on the pitch at any given time, why? Disagree about Guly too, why do people think a player who often struggles in NpC is suddenly going to be good in the Premier League? He wont have more space, that's just nonesense. If he struggled to make inroads into defences like Pompey's this year, how is he going to stand up against Terry, Kompany and Vidic? I'm pretty sure he will stay, but I don't agree with it.

He stands just over 5ft 10 Barnard, Barnard He'll take us to the top again Barnard, Barnard He strikes the ball with lots of pace He'll smash a bottle round your face* ... I'm stuck on the last line. *Legal disclaimer: There is no evidence to suggest Barnard will smash a bottle round your face, but he might if you really annoy him.

Players I'd try and get rid of: Jaidi, Connolly, Seaborne, Holmes, Dickson, Harding, Butters, Forecast, Forte and Guly. I anticipate cries of outrage from some at the last some, but he divides attention at best in this League. We have Lambert, Sharp, Lee and hopefully one more decent striker. There's no point in having Guly too. I'd loan out Bart and Barnard to the Championship to see if they have what it takes, as I'm undecided on both at the moment.

Without wanting to count any chickens, we're not there yet. etc. etc... ... but IF we do get promoted, Nico Kranjcar would get a vote from me.

A Boro fan on that board pointed out that we would (apparently) be the first team to do the double over Boro IF we were to win. We've got quite a few doubles this season. Foxes and Bristol are the only 2 against (and looking at the bottom of the league, the latter is really quite funny). So far we've done the double over Posh, Leeds, Barnsley, Palace, Hull, Millwall, Watford, Forest and could still do the double over Boro and Coventry. That could potentially be 10 teams we've beaten home and away this year. Even Man Utd can't boast that most seasons.

Harry Kane at Millwall has been pretty decent this season. On loan from Spuds, so I'm not sure if they'd let him go, or if he'd come here. Probably not the right signing for us though, he's only 18 and not ready for Prem football. Good prospect for the future though.

Am I alone in thinking Barnard looks a lot like Sam Eagle?

Aside from the players already mentioned, Adomah for Bristol City looks handy. If I had to pick 3 though; Phillips, Clyne and Tomkins probably.

Okay... 1. There aren't "moaning bastards" 90% of the time it's just people expressing an opinion. 2. The fact that so many people share the same opinion would suggest it has some legs. 3. Scoring the winner would be great, but it wouldn't undo his poor performances in the past. 4. This is the best time to be a Saints fan in a decade and you chose to have a dig at other fans... and you call them moaning bastards.

Yeah, Billy looks better and better with each game. Such a shame Tadanari Lee got injured IMO. He was a lot better than Sharp when the two of them joined, if we'd got him 'Saints fit' and on the same wavelength as the rest of the team he'd have ripped this league appart.

Boro aren't a top 10 side based on recent form though. There last 10 games are W1, D5, L4 Their last 10 home games are no better. W2, D4, L4 Their record against the top 6 so far: W2 D3 L6 They haven't beaten anyone even close to a decent team in 2012. They've beat Derby, Skates, Millwall, Forest, Barnsley and Shrewsbury.

That was Lallana.

I don't dare to believe it yet. I wont sleep properly until I see that table with a "P" next to Saints, or preferably a "C". Come on Saints! Let's hope Cardiff, Blackpool and Brum make it a bit easier with the early kick offs.
-
Against a decent team that shouldn't be an issue. In the Burley days we were getting caugh with our pants down left right and centre, but this team is made from sterner stuff. The Palace and Posh games this season would indicate we can get the job done against teams with bugger all to play for. Whatever happens, Boro will need to go all out for the win. A draw would be no use to them at all, so hopefully it wont be one of those 'pack the midfield sit back and hope for a point' sort of games from them. We also need Brum to win at Brighton as they're only 5 points ahead.

I'm not sure I'd call Bradford 'dull' as such with 2 administrations and 3 relegations since they were in the Premier League. However it must be so depressing for their fans, watching them wallow in League 2 obscurity a decade after being in the Prem.

Got to be Coventry for me. Up until this season they have been dull, lower midtable nothingness. I seem to remember them flirting briefly with relegation towards the end of the season Pearson was here and nearly went down on the last day, but other than that they have to be the dullest club in Britain. Got to feel sorry for their fans really, they've had bugger all to sing about for ages.
