Dry side or wet side?

We played Bristol Rovers away in the first round of the FA CUP 2 years ago, the round before we played Naints away.

I know "he only won because he had the best car" is a bit of a cliche, but that's all I've ever seen Massa do. In '08 he had the best car, and Raikkonen was ahead of him until about 7 races to go I think. I'm struggling to think of a truly great Massa drive. Button - Canada '11, Brazil '09 Hamilton - Britain '08, Japan '07 Alonso - Imola '05, Korea '10 Raikkonen - Japan '05, Belgium '09 Vettel - Monza '08, China '09 I'm sure you could go through about half a dosen examples for most of the top drivers in recent times, but I'm really struggling when it comes to Massa. A good driver and well worth a few victories, but not really a WDC quality driver. A bit like Coulthard.

I never got how Massa ended up in a Ferrari at all really. Maybe its a South American marketing thing. He started his career being fairly average in a Sauber, then joined Ferrari and spent several years getting soundly beaten by Schumacher, Raikkonen and Alonso. The only time he has ever stood out was the second half of '08, and that's mainly because Ferrari had the best car and Kimi really didn't look interested.

Who Are Southampton's Biggest Threat Next Season?
Lighthouse replied to Deano6's topic in The Saints
Well, it would seem West Ham have nailed their colours to the mast. Spend big and get back into the Prem at all costs. Bit of a financial facepalm, but a great player at this level. -
Bentley would be worth a shot, if only his wages weren't prohibitive. Think he's a victim of Bagpuss and his "want that one!" shopping campaign. Every transfer window another Modric, Kranjcar, Pienaar, Van Der Vaart or Palacios turns up.

We're always gettin people in the lounge asking, "anyone been to XXXXXXX". What if we just had a forum where we had a thread for each country/city people have visited and people can add their questions and suggestions to that thread.

Obviously not possible with today's technology, but give it 40 years and I can well believe they will be flying around. Incidentally the new Boeing 787 is due to enter service in the 3rd quarter of this year with ANA (Japan).

If Button gets penalised for either incident, I'm going to give up and watch womens darts instead. EPIC win!!! Epic is an overused term, but that was epic. Last to winning it on the last lap... wow.

Well, the Mclaren boys are out of it (Jenson still going in 10th), but on the up side Di Resta is 6th and Kobayashi is 2nd.

DC holding a brolly 30 mins before kick off. This could be a good'n.

If anyone makes a Skacel joke I will go round to their house and punch them.

I can play many of Kajagoogoo's greatest hits on the vuvuzela, but since the OP ruled it out I'm going to have to say no.

The way I see it, players who cast some doubts in League 1 aren't going to be anywhere near the quality we need to push for the Prem. Gobern and Seaborne are two such players. I'd be happy to see him move on TBH. I know he may come back and bite us in the backside, but that's football. We can't just hang on to everyone in the fear that they will come back and haunt us.

Millwall and Burnley plotting swoop for Saints' Seaborne
Lighthouse replied to Wes Tender's topic in The Saints
And yet we had a squad of 40 odd players. It's about quality, not quantity. When I say quality, we're not just talking about skills. I include fitness and proneness to injury in that criteria too. That defence was a disaster waiting to happen. We failed to address the fact that Killer had a serious injury and sold Fitz Hall. Then we continued to rely on players like Dodd, Le Saux and Claus who had aged well beyond the pace of the Premier League. Dodd, Telfer, Jakobsson, Lundekvam, Svensson, Higginbottham, Kenton, Nilsson, Le Saux, Bernard, Davenport, Van Damme. That's 12 defenders we had on the books in that season and not one of them was up to it. 8 half decent, fit defenders would have kept us up. Let's not make those mistakes again. -
Anyone else going to this? I'm planning on giving it a go in a tent, but it's looking fairly likely I'll be all on me tod. If anyone else is around for the weekend it would be good to have a Saints fans meet up.

Carling Cup 1st Round Draw (Thurs 16th June!)-Who Do You Want To Get!?!
Lighthouse replied to dannysfc's topic in The Saints
Either Brizzle club or maybe Yeovil away. Don't really give a flying feck about the Worthington Cup, so something local would be more tempting. Not Swindon, been there twice, lost 1-0 twice. Sh*t hole. -
If only Sheffield and Bristol didn't have two clubs, I reckon they could both be Prem regulars. I'm not so sure about Lincoln being 1/4 of a million. I grew up there and from my vague recollection of geography lessons it barely troubled the 80k mark. (It's 88k according to wiki). Should be in the FL for sure, but hardly a big place. Same size as Bath, which doesn't have a League club either, although they are fairly close to Brizzle and Swindon and do have egg chasing.

I'm pretty sure this race wont go ahead, but if it does we could have something similar to the 2005 USA GP where all the competitors just pull into the pits after the parade lap. This would of course be highly embarassing for all the arseholes running F1, so the teams have a fair bit of clout in that respect. I hope F1 never returns to Bahrain, on moral and boring the sh*t out of me grounds.

1-1 draw at home to Leeds.

If you can burn the songs on to a CD, I think you can then play them on WMP. Can't remember how exactly I did it, but it worked when I had an iriver, which apparently doesn't work with itunes.
