No, this is NOT the correct point to make. An explanation for the programme fiasco is needed today, and it needs to be plausible, or there is no point in giving one at all, and they might as well close down the OS as it will have proved itself as totally pointless and irrelevant.
-
Rumours and conspiracy theories will proliferate until the OS breaks its silence. If the OS has a point, surely it is to let us know what is going on. And I would have expected Marcus to be at the game and am surprised there has been no mention on the OS, though slightly less surprised than that there has been no explanation of why there were no programmes and and that there has been no response to rumours of a meeting on Wednesday. And a new manager? It's all beginning to sound depressingly familiar. The club must be aware of fans' unease and should allay any fears, otherwise the good will they have built up will fall away..

Why were we where we were when we were where we were?

You've taken my remark way too seriously. But, seriously, I realise journalists do not do their own captions, however, i) 'hansom' is not a typo, it is ignorance ii) I do not expect Mail journalists to spell English correctly - though I'm sure they can spell 'Deutschland uber alles' correctly.
-
They claim Pardew was given "hansom" finance in January. Was this to pay his cab fare, or is it meant to be 'handsome' and proof that the article was written by an idiot?
-
Please address your remark to the Football League - I believe Mawhinney is still there for a few more desperate weeks.
-
But of course it isn't actually dead - not for Gillingham and the 5 teams below them. Gillingham are currently out of the relegation zone because they are leading against us. Can the league impose a points deduction against us for next season for fielding a weakened side? - they can if they want, rules or no rules.

Well, actually I care about Bournemouth. They are a tiny club compared to Saints and they have had a terrible few years (surely you have not forgotten what it's like to see your club suffer) and what they have achieved this year is fantastic. Their squad is so small they have had only one sub on the bench at times and have had to play kids one of whom missed games because of school commitments. Their's is a brilliant story that all football fans should applaud. Trouble is, too many on this forum have a purely parochial and tribal attitude.

Just been told only 6,000 left and only walk-up sales now.

I don't think misspelling 'colours' is clever.

He may have shaved that silly moustache off but he didn't fool me. And if AID stands for Administration Instigated Deficit, yes, that too.

Actually, marginally better than your spelling ability. That was an amazing performance by Portsmouth and surely ANY genuine football fan must have thought it was a fantastic game. The finishing by both sides was poor, the football was hardly great, the pitch is a national disgrace (but it was the same for both sides) but it was great entertainment, far more entertaining than Chelsea against Villa - and that wasn't a bad game. We grizzle about the super-rich clubs, we grizzle about the stupid penalties imposed by the football authorities, the inconsistencies. Portsmouth has suffered for being the plaything of international crooks and conmen but today they put out a team against all the odds, devoid of most of the expensive stars their money bought, and won. It was a victory for football and football fans. Football won today against the odds. We've spent too much and ended up in administration and we of all people should appreciate that, however much you hate Pompey.

Don't agree with quite a few of the minute's silences etc. (e.g. cancelling games for 9/11). Hardly ever agree with TDD. But agree wholeheartedly with TDD on this one. These deaths occurred when people were doing their duty for the City. It happens very rarely. The Fire Brigade, the Club, the supporters are all part of the same community. I would have thought this was one occasion when a small, symbolic gesture would be entirely appropriate and appreciated by those more directly affected.

Keep out Kuhl?

You really want someone to offer to pick you up and take you to the ground, don't you.

What a pathetic post. And how did they prevent 'more regular match day fans from attending'? I think you'll find that was down to the way Wembley ticketing is organised. And, anyway, you will find elsewhere on this forum that it has been categorically stated that anyone who "deserved" a ticket got one.
-
Are you brain dead? - you have totally missed my point about the FA cup final - of course I know that the FA Cup final has been, and will pretty well always be, between teams from the top half of the Premiership. 'everyone who DESERVES a ticket got one' - are you very naive, thick or just very, very young? Anyway, I got home tonight to find my son has got me one - presumably from someone who 'deserved' one and who is making a very well deserved (I obviously need to explain that is my euphemism for 'illegal') profit from it. And you KNOW I could have gone to the MKD game do you? Tosser.
-
Can't believe that I won't be there tomorrow. Shan't even have the pleasure of skiing tomorrow so excuse me if I have no sympathy; I simply couldn't get a sodding ticket. Went to my first Saints game 47 years ago but length of service and suffering wasn't one of the criteria for getting a ticket unfortunately. Also disillusioned by the wonderful new national stadium - obviously it is not designed or run for 2 teams from the mighty 3rd division to get to a tin-pot cup final. Let's just hope 2 teams from the upper half of the Premiership don't ever get to meet each other in the FA Cup final.

He is obviously as crap at reading maps, street signs or his sat nav or finding his way around the city where he worked for several years as he was at managing Saints first team. Obviously if the road was full of traffic it was going somewhere useful eventually. Should have stuck to roads he knows and managing reserve teams.

I know everyone, including the Leeds radio commentary, agree the ref was appalling, but is it not just possible - looking at those photos - to conclude that Fonte has pulled the defenders arm around his neck and not let go until he tumbled in an attempt to win a penalty? Just a thought.
-
At least there is a COUNTRY where everyone agrees - the one where everyone thinks you are a tosser. You've been living in Scotland too long.
-
More of the Ekelund myth - Saints did not buy him, he was on loan.
-
Wrong thread? - isn't this your prediction for the JPT final?

"Segregation issues"!!! Wembley is a sports stadium. It usually features matches between teams each with their own supporters. It cost far too much to build - no wonder, if they have included thousands of seats which can't be used because of 'segregation issues'! Didn't anyone think of including some kind of relocateable division? Or is there some longstanding hatred between Carlisle and Southampton that I am unaware of? Or is this 'segregation issues' just a load of ********?
