  1. Another vote for singing this again, best of all it isn't suitable for clapping along to, bliss.
  2. I don't normally get the hump about this kind of thing, but with Pochettino you never felt that he really had any affection for Saints, it just seemed to be about getting the results to enhance his career. Never clapped the away fans, I remeber at Fulham last season he didn't even look up at us as he left the pitch, walking straight past us. Just seemed arrogant. Hopefully Koeman can build a stronger bond with the club and fans.
  3. We have white smoke from the chimney!
  4. That's what I normally think in these cases. However, on Betfair today there has already been nearly twice as much bet on Mancini in the last few hours as on David Moyes in the last 2 weeks, which on the face of it seemed a much more likely appointment.
  5. Bet 365 have come in from 20/1 to 4/1 in the last 15 minutes.
  6. Hi Ralph. Don't know how many times I have to say this, an offer is only fair value if you can reasonably expect to replace what you have lost with the money gained. We won't be able to, particularly as I have serious reservations whether the board will re-invest even close to the whole amount gained. There's a handful of players as good as Lallana in his role, and guess what, none of them are going to want to come here in the midst of us selling all our best talent. We'll have to gamble on an up and comer, and probably pay over the odds in wages to pursuade them to come (sound familiar?).
  7. I'm with this guy ^
  8. Whoever the most senior player left after the Great Player Purge of 2014 is. With that in mind I propose Harrison Reed. [sarcasm alert]
  9. Lovren? Hasn't been much in the press about him being off, you sure?
  10. I know it's sad that Shaw may be off, but there's no nee to smash your keyboard around in anger.
  11. Right at the bottom. It'll be that his mate Cortese did one with the platinum credit card, and he wants to go and blow some money about elsewhere.
  12. I always thought you were on a wind-up, now I know you're on a wind-up.
  13. Baz, why the hell does it matter how reliant we are on Sky money? It's not going anywhere.
  14. Not for me it isn't, only question mark would be over the physicality of the PL and whether he'd cope.
  15. The club have got this right, I'm happy that all the plastic mancs I know and that are bugging me for a ticket can't get one for me.
  16. I went pretty mental in the confines of my living room when Punch equalised against Chelsea last season.
  17. Are you trying to do it from a phone? I had to do it from a laptop as the phone wouldn't work, you also have to log in to Twitter or Facebook I think by clicking one of the buttons up the top. Just to those saying it's an over-reaction, and that he's not dead. Do you send friends a get well soon card if they are injured/ill, or do you wait for them to die first?. I expect Jay is feeling pretty down at the moment, a load of nice messages from supporters wishing him well is a pretty nice thing to receive.
  18. It will be interesting to see how Walcott comes back from his ACL injury, as pace pretty much IS Theo's game, I guess Walcott should be ready to start the season in August so will give us a bit of hope if he comes back strong.
  19. Eh? They took a small allocation and passed the rest back. The only thing of note from that was that we did a good job of selling the seats behind the goal for once, we usually struggle to sell these once a club passes back their allocation. I'll also echo what others have said, the corporate boxes looked busy Saturday for the first time in ages, someone somewhere has done a decent job sorting that out.
  20. Sturridge will get young player I would have thought, Hazard next most likely after that, I think it's much easier for an attacking player to win as their contribution is easier to quantify.
  21. It's a disease down there, they just can't help themselves. They're like the gin drunk pensioner you see in Ladbrokes feeding the remains of their pension into the roulette machine with a tear rolling down their cheek.
  22. Fixed that for you.
  23. Brilliant!
  24. If this happens (Godwilling) will PompeyNil be the fastest ever drop from topflight to non-League? Not counting Wimbledon as they ceased to exist.
  25. #It's Happening #OurDreamIsReal Ha ha ha!!! Despite all my mirth at PompeyNil's precarious position, today was the 1st day I genuinely believed they could go down! Oh how I'd love to see them having to play Salisbury at the Ray Mac next season. They'd be bound to struggle too, just think of all those Cup Final games!!!
