  1. The Government's own statistical analysis of GDP is a little different from the story he wants us to hear; https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/sn02784/A And when he states "'debt is falling" what her means is that for the next three years at least it will increase but after that it is projected to start reducing.
  2. How does her keep his face straight when saying the Tories are the party that lowers taxation ?
  3. One that can't stay awake vs one that is unable to speak in coherent sentences. Riveting.
  4. Cut NI and freeze the thresholds, in 2 years time, after pay rises, they claw back what they have given out. On the matter of savings from cutting diversity, Birmingham's budget is approx. £2Bn, they spend around £450k on such schemes. That is hardly going to make up their shortfall. In other cases, the diversity/equalities staff might actually be funded by Government grants intended for that specific purpose.

  7. Surprised he isn't raising the spectre of "non-jobs". Anything to try to deflect from the responsibility that successive Tory administrations hold for mis-managing the public finances.
  8. "Councils will be told to reduce spending on consultants and diversity schemes when Chancellor Jeremy Hunt delivers his Budget on Wednesday. He will urge town halls to cut back on what he says is wasteful spending and stress the importance of productivity." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-68477450 Jeremy Cunt, the Hancellor of the Exchequer.
  9. If we were playing Swindon, would they be "Wiltshire cunts" ?
  10. If Jeremy Hunt thinks the problems with Council budgets are down to hiring a few consultants and running diversity schemes then he isn't fit to operate an abacus, let alone run the Nation's finances..
  11. Regarding number 10; The Russian Admiral Rozhestvensky, who lost the battle of Tsushima during the Russo-Japanese war, woke up one morning and read his own obituary.
  12. Apparently Hadrian's Wall is now an icon of gay history.
  13. Just seen Dune 2. Very good film, lots of sand, but for me, being pedantic, the ending seemed a bit rushed and spoilt by missing out important details and characters found in the closing chapters of the book. Obviously it has been re-purposed to lead into the third film, to be based on Dune Messiah and Children of Dune.
  14. "..... London is full of Arabs. We could be in Palestine, ..."
  15. Why are you so scared to name him ? Duckie ain't all bad.
  16. Why on the animated credits for the BBC coverage of the World Indoor Athletics Championships do they have images of the javelin, hammer, and discus - 3 events that are not taking place ?
  17. If only we could nationalise the Leeds born Erling Haaland to play in front of them.
  18. Government borrowing in the 9 months to December was £11Bn more than the same nine months in 2022. The cost of housing immigrants is approx. £2Bn a year.
  19. Lancashire County Council tried to make the whole county "Twenty's plenty"'. One of the few occasions when the public was fully united regardless of political persuasion.
  20. Be excellent to each other.
  21. My comment was based on having been promoted, hence mentioning RM's tactics being wrong for the Prem
  22. I think that in the Prem with RM would be as bad if he sticks to his "principles"
  23. I want Saints to go up, but RM is such a smug, arrogant, and inflexible "tactical genius" that we would be better off reappointing Nathan Jones. This tactical approach would be calamitous in the Prem - it's been found out by Bristol City, Hull, Birmingham, and even Millwall.
  24. We won't go up so the question is moot.
