It's all on the local news pages of the BBC News web site, and has been on the teletext news, so it actually gets worldwide coverage, rather than just being on at 6:00 pm in one localised area.
I don't think the BBC are particularly biased one way or the other, it's just that their relationship with whichever Government is in power is to some extent bound to be coloured by 'he who pays the piper calls the tune', and the politicos feel that as they are technically the paymasters, they are entitled to some influence.

The figures are claimed to be flawed in the comments; there is no corroborative evidence, simply conjecture and the presentation of figures to support a particular line of argument/opinion, which may well have been plucked out of thin air. ( That is if you can decode what exactly the comments are saying ).
And yet again we come back round to the Police, Fire Brigade, NHS, Armed Forces, Social Care, etc,etc,etc. All of these can be classified as just 'an overhead' ?
