You're overreacting.

Eh? We've had one bad result (Stoke) then an understandable defeat at City. Before that it was three wins on the bounce. Perhaps say that if we lose on Wednesday, and again at the weekend.
-
Great stuff. I've always been put off Upton Park by the prices. Just my luck that this is the first year I may struggle to get a ticket!
-
He's welcome to dance through defenders like Messi, if he likes. Otherwise, he does need to strengthen because he is being brushed off the ball too easily.

We will have one or three points more over the course of the season if we get a result. Of course it matters! We'll be competitive in this game, as we always are away at the big clubs, but without Pelle we'll struggle. At least we have a week to work things out, rather than him dropping out from a last-minute injury. I suppose it will be Long up top with Mane playing closer behind him.

You are paying no attention whatsoever.

Hadn't appreciated how good that cross from Pieters was before watching on MOTD.

When was the last time we scored a decisive late goal at home?
DuncanRG replied to St Lej's topic in The Saints
Absolutely. We had a real problem under Pochettino of giving up the ghost as soon as we conceded - even if it was an equaliser. At times we'd even be pegged back to 2-1 and become deflated. We've had a fair few 1-0 home defeats in the last few years where, in my heart of hearts, I knew we wouldn't equalise despite huffing and puffing in the last 10. Today, Swansea last season, Cardiff the year before that... -
French national anthem to be played before Saturday's game
DuncanRG replied to simo's topic in The Saints
If it were last Saturday instead of this, and the Wembley friendly hadn't happened, I could perhaps understand. -
He's not played well enough so far this season to attract a mega money bid from a top club.

It helps, as does Van Gaal's cautious style, but Smalling and (before he was injured) Shaw have been very good. Here it is, if anyone wants it. Wanyama does get picked by one writer, but then he also chooses Jonathan Walters... Most picked a lone striker (Vardy) which may explain why Pelle wasn't pickedby anyone.
-
Or does it say more about Cortese, given the farewells people like Adam Lallana got on their departure?
-
United have the best defensive record in the league, and Stoke have conceded fewer goals than us. You're either wrong that the defenders are poor (in Utd's case) or wrong that a busy keeper who stops goals going in isn't playing well (in Butland's).
-
Can't argue with that team, though I'd maybe swap Butland in for De Gea.
-
He looked really good today, best performance so far by a stretch
-
I believe he lives in Winchester, so I'm a little surprised he's chosen Southampton for the history video...
-
We may not win but I can't believe they'll keep a clean sheet. They really are diabolical defensively.
-
Came here to post this - cracking pass and exactly the sort of penetrating ball he's here to provide. He's still adapting but anyone who can't see his talent isn't paying much attention.
-
Much the same as a goal going in off your arse without your knowledge - they're not all worthy of merit but players with high assist counts are very good because they, erm, assist with goals. See Fabregas last season.

It's self-perpetuating. The fact nobody has (ever) done it makes it more and more significant when somebody does. Every gay player out there will be desperate to be the second to come out. Being the first is hard. I still can't get my head around the fact it's 2015 and we don't have any openly gay footballers. It blows my mind that we've allowed ourselves to have this culture for so long.
-
Mmm, but we'd expect to beat, say, Swansea at home. Plus last season's finish is considered underachievement for Liverpool, so what they should be doing is a wider question than it is for us.
-
I'm sure he has plenty of friends at the club. Most people there are grown-ups.

Better hope we shake off the international fatigue because they'll be running like mad. Worth remembering that they're playing in the Europa League on Thursday night, though. They may not field a strong team but equally Klopp will do all he can to avoid losing any of his opening games.
