  1. Isn't it just. I'm going for the mystery money man ending up being the Feckless Bogtrotter wearing a fake 'tache....
  2. There would be no point in that. The FL are just an organisation running a competition and can control what conditions they set for entry and who are let in. If anyone is unhappy with that all they can do is to excercise their perogative not to enter. I wonder if whoever runs the Blue Sq Conference is equally choosy?
  3. It time that Tony, his mystery tag team partner and Pinnacle did the decent thing and pull out of all negotiations. It's been going on for too many weeks now, Lynham has stated he won't sign what the FL require in order to allow us to play in L1 and that is going to change if he gives it a couple more weeks. At least then the way is cleared for someone else to come in, be it the Swiss or even the money men behind Jackson's bid. Thanks for all your efforts Tony. I will always remember your posts on this forum with us much affection as I did the ones of Mikey Wilde. I'm am sure you will always be held in as great esteem here as Micheal Knighton is in the Red half of Manchester. I am only sorry your keepy upies could not be witnessed before a game at SMS.
  4. Cheers for the update Mike.
  5. Of course it is. The real reason for the delay is that Pinnacle are struggling to find the cash. This should be no surprise after how long it took them to find the exclusivity money.
  6. Middle East Business Man who may actaully have some cash and not be a wheel kicker?
  7. "morally right". What a Queen! I think it's becoming more and more likely that the lucky leprechaun doesn't have the cash to complete the deal....
  8. LOL. Any Dream Will Do........
  9. I have come to the conclusion that Mr Lynam, just like Marc Jackson, is a fantasist. I am coming round to the idea of Jackson taking over the club rather than Pinnacle as at least he has been doing the Walter Mitty routine for a bit longer than Leprechuan Lynham so must be better at it. With every further titbit posted on here Tony is slowly but surely turning into Mikey Wilde. I would imagine he is furtively putting together his manifesto which he hopes will distract all and sundry from noticing that Pinnacle aint got pot to pi ss in.
  10. The big difference you seem to missing is that Monty's speeding court cases are held in a court of law. Our appeal will be decided over by........... the Football League. Meaning there is 0% chance of the deduction being overturned.
  11. He sounded like a BBC newsreader when compared to George Barley.....
  12. Keegan would be great for us and it would be great to be able to understand a pre-match interview with our manager again. It hasn't happened since WGS! Since then trying to understand what was being said was made difficult firstly by double Scotch and then Double Dutch... On a side note. If the appeal thing is the main problem then what is to stop Pinnacle signing a piece of paper for the FL saying we will not appeal and then when the takeover goes through appealing anyway. Surely there is no way the signed paper the FL have will stand up in court as: a) It is illegal to force someone into not appeal a decision and b) The signed declaration was obtaine under duress which is also illegal

....we could have done with him last season!! " Kenna was named Galway United manager (taking over from his former Republic of Ireland U21 international team-mate Tony Cousins) in a press conference on 21 April 2008.[1] He lost his first match in charge 3–2 versus Bray Wanderers.[2] On 15 July 2008, Kenna officially became player-manager at Galway United.[3] At the time taking over at United, the club were bottom of the table and haemorrhaging money. Due to league financial regulations a lot of the senior players were sold onto other clubs to ensure that the clubs salary expenditure fell within league requirements. Galway were forced to rely on a lot of young inexperienced players, but as the season drew to a climax Kenna engendered a real team spirit in the side to the extent that over the last seven games United collected five wins a draw and one loss. This enabled Galway to garner seventeen crucial points and narrowly avoid relegation to the First Division next season, pipping Finn Harps by a single point.[1]. A wonderful feather in the cap of this fledgeling manager (he had also led the club to the last four of both the League Cup and the FAI Cup), Kenna was understood to be contracted for another season with Galway but decided to quit during the winter period. He took the position of St. Patricks' Athletic manager on 14 January 2009. His first competitive match was a 3-0 home defeat at the hands of his previous club who's new manager, Ian Foster, had been Kenna's assistant the season before.

Think he is managing a club in the Irish league!
  15. LOL!! Please don't tell me you still believe that!! The club even admitted that PA had no interest whatsoever in buying a provincial club in the second tier of English football!!!!
  16. Hopefully Des Lynam aint on the golf course again.....
  17. and he came and went without a word. Maybe his silence speaks volumes?
  18. I think the only thing that can be drawn from this thread is that there are a number of MLTs currently working the Hampshire area.
  19. True but the team with KK, Armstrong, Moran, Ball and Channon played the best football I have ever seen us play.
  20. Anyone who wouldn't want KK here needs sectioning. He was our biggest ever signing and part of the best team we ever had. It's also absurd to question his tactical nous as a manager. Just look for a second at his cv and see the promotions he has acheived. You don't do that if you are tactically inept.
  21. I not at all sure it will all be wrapped up by Friday.
  22. A bit harsh from a mod! I think he was making a good point. Rasiak was signed on very high wages when we got him in our first season in the CCC. Far too high for a L1 to support. Given that Rasiak's stock has fallen in the interviening time period it would be very likely that no CCC club would want to pay him what we are. In which case no wonder he is turning up with a smile on his face for pre-season fitness assessment. He may well turn into our very own Winston Bogarde. Given that we were a freshly relegated Prem team when we signed Rasiak I would assume there is not a chance in hell that a clause in his contract being added to cover the eventuality of relegation to L1.
  23. He was given Prem level wages when he signed. The last thing we want is his wages back on the books. There's no way we can afford to pay him on L1 revenues.
  24. Yes indeed! I am eagerly awaiting Spencer's next update of Tony's humanitarian charity work. Where will it take him next? I wonder if he met Mikey Wilde while over in the Channel Islands. Does anyone know when the 'Saints Go Lynam' t-shirts will be available at the megastore?
  25. Does a lot of work for charity but doesn't like to talk about it.....
