If this goes through, a few people will have to apologise for doubting Pinnacle. It was only a couple of days ago that supporters of another bid were claiming Pinnacle had walked, and slagging them off for being amateurs.

They were shareholders, never ran the company though. United were 'owned' by the Edwards family, latterly Martin Edwards.

I would imagine that they've got rid of any casual staff they had. They are now stuck with a bunch of people who they have to pay, but haven't really got any work for them to do. Little point in making them redundant, as they will be needed again in a few weeks. Therefore you bring their hours down to a minimum, which seems to be what they have done.
