Romeu has been fantastic so far this game and this season. We got away with one there - spirit of Yoshi?

First half was a little too nervy for my liking, but once Charlie got the goal we looked comfortable. Forster didn't have a lot to do, but what he did, he did well. It's so nice being confident in a goalkeeper after years of dodgy goalies. Bertrand, van Djik and Fonte were excellent, Cedric didn't have a great first half but I thought he looked decent second half; he and Hojbjerg kept Payet out of the game. Romeu I thought had a fantastic game, especially after getting booked so early on. Didn't give the ref any opportunities to send him off (despite what the Sky commentators kept saying). Hoj was absolute class, man of the match for me. He was everywhere, so calm. Would have been a screamer too! Davis had a decent game, did his job well, excellent energy at the end for the third goal. Tadic had a frustrating first half but came alive once West Ham gave up defending in the second half. Redmond had a typically decent game for him, a lot of running, nothing spectacular. Austin was very good once he got the ball up to him, it was weird seeing him on the wing a few times but he did well there. One for Big Sam to look at? If Charlie stays fit then he'll take us a long way this season. He must be very happy sticking one to the nob that said his knees were shot. Special mention to JWP too when he came on, he did his job perfectly - lots of closing down, getting into good positions, and a decent goal to boot. Bring on the Beer!

HD Acestream of Sky Sports 1 here: acestream://42fe51591598d905ab011a9c8339150f8391dfa7 If you haven't used Acestream before, you need to download Ace Player - it's basically VLC Media Player with the added ability to play network streams. In Ace Player, go to Media -> Open Network Stream and paste that address in, press Play, and you're good to go.

He's sent off a player in his last six West Ham matches. Glad Wanyama's not around for this one!
-
Son is absolute class - can't believe they nearly sold him. In defector news: Gaston has been anonymous (through no fault of his own, the ball has barely made it into the Spurs half, I don't think Boro have had a shot yet), Wanyama still can't pass, and Chambers looks poor so far - always preferred him as a right back than centre back. 0-2, half time.

I'm going to give Middlesbrough v Spurs a look, I haven't seen any of Boro this season.

If anybody ever asks me to sum up Shane Long in 10 seconds, I'll show them that. Hesketh looking excellent so far.

Excellent stream here with English commentary: http://www.multi-sports.eu/88.html

Kids, reserves and Redmond please. Wouldn't risk any of our most important players for this - so no Forster, VvD, Fonte, Bertrand, Romeu, Høj or Austin. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

Forster Clyne - Fonte - van Djik - Shaw Schneiderlin - Wanyama Lallana - Davis - Mane Lambert Fonte from a few seasons ago was one of the best in the league, especially with his organisation of the defence. Tough call between van Djik and Alderweireld. As much as I love Steven Davis, it's pretty strange that he's still the best in that position we've had.

Where are the goals coming from? Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

The few times we have seen him as a more aggressive midfielder he's been excellent. The 3-2 Liverpool game last season springs to mind.
-
He got two assists last night I believe, and Redmond another. I think he's better suited to the diamond than some of our other midfielders (e.g. Clasie).

I'm camping in the Peak District with some friends this weekend, one of whom is an Arsenal fan. Be good to me, Claude.

I'm surprised but it makes sense when you think about it, assuming Sam wanted 3 goalkeepers: Hart Forster Heaton Obviously Forster has hurt himself in training, so the possible replacements would be Butland (injured), Pickford (injured), Foster (retired from internationals), Green (sh*te), Ruddy (old and likely to have retired by the World Cup)... I guess McCarthy was next in line.

Everton get a West Ham reject on loan
-
A very inconsistent midfield...
-
Chambers has gone to Middlesbrough, no?
-
Not a big fan of this formation so far. Tadic doesn't convince me down the middle, Davis looks lost on the left. Positives to be taken.
-
Liverpool seem to love inconsistent players though. Mignolet, Lallana, Coutinho, Sturridge, Gerrard, The Entire Defence... Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

Must be a strange feeling for José, when was the last time he started a game at St Mary's on the bench? Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

Great to see Shaw playing again for Man U after his injury. Looks pretty decent so far, though he's already been elbowed in the eye.

Hooray! Some good news!
