Thanks all. I'll get onto it then.

Sorry all but I can't find the old kit thread, and I don't have the energy to keep looking. Question on the sizing of the new kit for those who have got one of the home shirts. Last year's were a bit different obviously, but as I've mostly always been a 2XL am I safe in sticking to that? Planning to order one of the away kit and maybe a couple training shirts as well. Yes abuse me if you must but I'd be happy to get at least one constructive answer as well.

122 and that's it.

Bizarre statement.

Top half finish and group stages of the EL for mine. Would be very pleased with that. Throw in at least one Cup quarter final for extra smiles. United to win the league based on their business so far.

Long winded bugger.

And what would you want to pay for him? Are Arsenal going to want to take a hit on 16 million pounds? If he plays here on loan and has a storming season what then? We're going to give them back that money plus a little more? No thanks. He can go elsewhere on loan if he wants. Plenty of clubs might find a use for him. Or he can stay low on Arene's pecking order for another year or so and be sold at a cut-price to wherever Harry ends up next.

Schneiderlin Joins Manchester United (Official)
GarrettIvo replied to Bewildered's topic in The Saints
Not fussed that he threw a tanty last summer one bit. He came back after that and did his job as a professional did. Sure he probably was angling for this move the entire time, but he wasn't doing it publicly. Didn't disrepect the club at all as far as I can recall. He's shown up for pre-season - even if he was never going to play in it - and quietly sat back while the club did business. No problems with that at all. I don't think his value was affected either, going by the fee being quoted elsewhere. Morgan is class and will start most games for United. I do not understand why so many people seem to think otherwise. I'm grateful for his efforts over the journey. I'm also grateful that he appears to have provided the club with a profit of about 25 million pounds. Lallana is a ****. -
I for one am shocked to hear the club is staffed by reasonably professional people in this way. Who knew?

I'm not at child punching level. Although I wouldn't cry if Toby's legs gave out yes.

Telling that the stadium wasn't filled this season every weekend even when the side was challenging for top 4.

There's a reason I have you on my ignore list.

Maybe the City of Southampton should bid for the Commonwealth games and then the club can get a virtually free stadium like West Ham. Or maybe not be so shameless and at least contribute like Manchester City did. Make us more attractive to Saudi oil magnates. Not that I would be into that sort of thing.

1: Very true. 2. There is a limit to how far any manager could take us without a massive investment at every level of the football department. That limit is somewhere between 5th and 7th place in the league. We have reached it. Whether we remain there for much longer is yet to be seen. I would be over the moon if we managed 7th again this coming season. Ecstatic. But it's probably not going to happen. But if we can do something crazy like get to the group stage of the Europa League - or God forbid the knockout stage - and still at least flirt with the top half of the league, that would be an immense season. We certainly won't be near the bottom three with all the dross still below us and the promoted teams as well. And you are right, we are in an amazing position compared to five years ago.

I am not gutted either, but he is very definitely a class, class player, capable in several positions. To suggest otherwise is rewriting reality IMO.

Lucky (for me) the Ashes start tonight. So I will take comfort in the pain of Spurs fans, and the rest of your miserable English mob, getting trounced on the cricket pitch.
-
Whatever. I'm sure they'll take that on board.
-
It's what this place is about though. These clowns all think they could run a football club better than the current administration.

**** me the meltdown started in earnest didn't it. Pathetic some of the lot on here. No need to name names you all know who you are.

Been fun viewing this thread and saga from a long distance. Such angst. If Toby signs for Spurs it's because he wanted too. Nothing more or less.
-
Can we start a petition to encourage the club to hire Batman as its new player recruitment manager? Because obviously no one inside knows what they're doing and we will never amount to anything without his expertise.

In Morgan's case the issue may be cost. Or not. As for Clyne, how many English players are on the continent? I don't have to worry about England's international fortunes, so I hope Clyne fails miserably at Anfield and becomes another noose around Brenda's neck. **** him.

This debate is tedious. Liverpool and Spurs are bigger clubs by any objective measure you care to use. More importantly, they have a bigger percentage of utter **** fans than we have as well. Not worth getting worked up over. As for Toby I'm hopeful he'll end up here permanently.
