Well there you go! Even I overestimated how bad things were. 3-1 an entirely acceptable result.

Bloody hell. Losing 4-1 at City isn't anything out of the ordinary in itself for any team. The Cup result was bad but sometimes that's gonna happen. It's a bloody sport sometimes you have good days and sometimes you have bad days. This place is actually full of mental patients I reckon.

That's what many other fans said about us this time last season. And they have definitely punished the lower half of the league so far. Which is what they'd be hoping to do. Got turned over by Arsenal, but have now picked up draws at both WHL and Old Trafford. Not to mention tearing us apart for 45 minutes to get a point at St Mary's. Good on them I say. We'd be doing pretty well to finish above them at this rate.

They are so bad it's laughable. They'll probably find some arsey way to win though. For all the dominance we haven't created much. If the 2nd half is anything like our recent 2nd half performances we'll be in trouble.

Yeah I have zero faith in a positive result here, despite the fact they're easily the worst side in the league.

Mane/Bertrand trying tricks and turning back to their own goal instead of running forward just helped them put more pressure on. Gave the ball away again and again. Not just those two of course, but they stood out to me.

My goodness. We were awful in the 2nd half. Totally awful. And they were very very good. They deserved it. No midfield presence and when under the pump Mane/Bertrand trying tricks instead of just running with the ball up the pitch. Lucky point. But again, they were good. Wonder how long they can keep that sort of intensity going into the season.

When I sit on the couch to watch a game I stay on the couch to watch the game. It helps that games are usually finishing or starting at midnight here. Nothing to distract me and zero reason to get up. Maybe for a **** at halftime but even then if you can't hang on for the full-time whistle you probably need to see a doctor.

So, regardless of where the club finished in the table, it seems like it’s time to say it: Southampton is just better at this than everyone else.
