  1. Cant remember the last time we scored a late late winner. Excellent.
  2. Reed is 19 and has plenty of time. Not harsh at all. Morgan maybe not ready for 90 minutes.
  3. Best to stop worrying about what other teams do and focus on the only thing we (the team that is) can control.
  4. Can't tell if in on joke or serious.
  5. Good to see him back on the park, even if only for the U21s. Can only be positive in the medium term. Will need at least a few games at that level before he can be seriously considered at senior level. What he will do then is provide an option off the bench for those times we are comfortable in a game and want to give Pelle a rest or try different options. Not sure how anyone can see any negativity in that.
  6. Two new loans, with one already making a positive contribution on the field, plus the signing of Bertrand. I'll take that. And no one out, which was always likely to be the case. Aside from Cork of course. Don't begrudge him that move one bit. I think we've done ok. We could all wish for another alternative to Pelle. But it was never really on the cards. We can make do with what we have and if it turns out to be not quite enough so be it. Encouraged by Gallagher's return to action, and we shouldn't be afraid to see what Seager and McQueen can do with a little game time.
  7. Who are all these people, especially on Twitter, reckoning Osvaldo would make a positive difference to our squad right now? I keep reading about his great record and ability to get in the right spots and score at will. It's mental. At three clubs since the start of 2014 he's scored 9 goals in 36 games. How the **** does that justify us sticking our neck out for him yet again. The bloke's a complete ***** and doesn't deserve to be rewarded for his consistent bad behaviour. People need to get a grip.
  8. **** him, and **** anyone else who thinks he should or could come back and DAJFU.
  9. John Jo Shelvey is a particularly unattractive human I was thinking to myself just before he scored. I was also thinking **** I hope he doesn't take too many shots from range. Oh well. Annoying but sometimes better teams lose when they don't take or create enough chances. That was us.
  10. This is exactly what we did at Old Trafford really. Well played to Swansea I reckon. Being the better team means nothing until the ball goes into the net. Related note: Do we ever get anything from Michael Oliver?
  11. Take it we lost then?

    Maya

You wouldn't put money on Honda and Kagawa both missing would you?
  13. Japan out on penalties. I guess Maya will be back next week. That's a plus.
  14. Disregard. 1-1. Knew that would happen.
  15. Japan done 1-0 in the Asian Cup QF against UAE. Good news for us if Maya comes back a week early from national commitments.
  16. The Pres of the USA will net us a massive transfer fee. Some Arab sides will pay through the nose to get him.
  17. Sad. Didn't realise there was a geographical limit on permitted supporters.
  18. I've never really been sure why. In regional Western Australia when I played as a kid all the junior teams - and a lot of the senior ones - were named after giant Euro clubs. IC Juventus was the one I played for. This is Bunbury, which is as far away from Turin as you can get really. But whatever. There was a Milan side, and a Man United and a few others. Never thought about it as a kid it's just the way it was. It was the late 80s, when football in Australia was still seen as just for "wogs and pooftahs". For more on that, read this http://www.randomhouse.com.au/books/johnny-warren/sheilas-wogs-and-poofters-9781740512220.aspx Probably most kids were Liverpool fans cause Craig Johnston was the biggest name in Aussie terms at the time. But I leant more to Man U for some reason. Certainly I followed them for a while, so still have a little bit of a soft spot. But watching league highlights in the early-mid 90s there was just something about the The Dell that came across on the tv. Small, atmospheric, exciting. I dunno. And then watching Le Tissier smashing goals in the mid-90s, combined with the "thrill" of successive relegation battles got me hooked. Everyone loves an underdog. Post-relegation was tough because it was hard to keep track of things here. So admittedly I missed a lot of the rougher times. Been well worth the ride though. Missed out on a lot of sleep watching games over the years. My missus thinks I'm mad. The poor girl doesn't understand. tl;dr - Le Tiss, The Dell, the ride. Love it.
  19. Wouldnt mind seeing more of Hesketh if he's recovered fully from that Burnley knock. Ditto with Seager although that seems unlikely.
  20. Bloke works his arse off, is involved in almost everything we do in the front 3rd, and never seems to put his head down when things don't go his way. Can we clone him? Does he have a brother? Yes the lack of another option to give him a rest is an issue, but he doesn't seem to be suffering from fatigue.
  21. They'll be in the semis at least. O
  22. 2am. Im going home to wake the wife and see if my luck continues. ****ing brilliant!
  23. How dare he choose to represent his country.
  24. You excel yourself again sir.
  25. Not football, but in baseball Rusty ****z was a famous Detroit Tigers player.
