Southampton Leisure Holdings PLC (in Creditors Voluntary Liquidation)
rooney replied to spyinthesky's topic in The Saints
I had my letter too as I was a Shareholder with others. Nothing for us I am afraid. -
How I have missed Baloo. I hope he comes back quick.

I have three children and none of them have ever asked to be baled out. I have voluntary given them cash or bought things that I know they needed without them asking beforehand. My wife and I are now at a stage in our lives when we have to consider Inheritance Tax and we shall make the maximum gift allowance that we can soon, to prevent the Government charging us 40% on a part of our Estate. I guess I have been lucky with my children of whom I am very proud .but we went without things when we and they were younger in order to bring them up as best we could.

Sadly Gazza has had many chances now and always lets us down. He has excellent build for a keeper but at his age. I cannot see him making it after all this time. We have to find another and there are plenty mentioned on another thread.

Conference minnows Portsmouth, sounds better.

There was also a large wages bill for the dead wood we cleared out when the transfer window opened included in these figures. I would suggest too that much of the Training Ground costs are classified as repairs and replacements rather than improvements and thus are an income cost and not a capital cost. On this basis, they would appear in the P & L as tax deductable before the net profit/ loss is calculated. As somebody has also remarked that there are the larger payments from the Premier League this season which are not shown in these accounts. Sleep tight everyone.

SD has had an excellent season with us.

Fantastic. The trip up on the M3 when we were queing for the M25 with all the cars with banners and flags. An unforgettable day.

I must say that I do not rate Mariner at all in the games I have seen him. I hope there is no controversy with a decision that will cost us all three points.
-
Two individual errors cost us the game as we seemed to go to pieces after the first. However, our players did not do this purposely as these things happen, We have to move on but it does show how we missed Morgan in midfield. A good win obver Newcastle on saturday and this will be forgotten.

The end of the line is nigh for old saggy chops
rooney replied to Yorkshire Saint's topic in The Saints
He has made so much money for himself, whilst clubs he has been involved with are all/or have been ,on the verge of liquidation. -
I can see why you think that but to play Chambers out of position at a game like Spurs would not be sensible at all imo.
-
Not for me as I like comfort. However, if clubs wish to put a section aside for those who wish to stand up all the time-fair enough. I remember ging to QPR a few years ago to watch the Saints in the away end. There were tall people in front of me and the view was terrible, despite standing all the game.

If Coppell is the Director of Helping and he has not helped, does he have to pay the Skates to be there?

Should MP drop Lambert for the Palace game!
rooney replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
and only a powder puff shot too. -
An excellent player and we got him on a free too.

Wanyama is nowhere near ready to replace Jack Cork if the formers last 2 games and the latters are anything to go by. Give him 20 mins at the end by all means, to help with match fitness and then the coaches can see what he can do.

As many others have said , we are just not clinical enough. WH semed to have so many defenders behind the ball and only Lallana and Ramirez had any nounce to be able to break them down. If we had taken our chances, we would hve won despite the first offside goal and Yoshida's inability to control the ball for the 2nd. But football is full of what ifs, but finishing is our weakness without douibt.

Happy Birthday Rickie--you are the business.

I suppose they could donate their shares to Charity if they have no buyers. Perhaps English Heritage if they make FP a listed Building?

Of course he is a likeable person but unfortunately football does not work like that, similar to barreners in a Dairy Herd. When they have done the job, they have to move on and Guly is in that category. Sadly not good enough to be where we want to be I am afraid.

Did not see that on the live stream. It was a nice moment and thanks for posting that LLP.
