Just back and I seem to have lost my voice. Gave my season tickets to my sons and sat in Club Wembley behind our goal. Despite being dressed as a neutral, no one seemed bothered that we joined in every Saints song and danced in the aisle when Gabba equalised ! Proud day, it was not to be.

Whatever team we had fielded against Arsenal, they would have matched it to go for the win.

Now we have a forward who can score goals maybe Puel can receive a bit of slack. Although JRod and Long have had a lot of game time, they have failed to step up to the plate since Austin got injured. We now have some exciting permutations and plenty of pace up front.

Good win and at last we have started a game without the sterile JRod or Long. They have both had enough game time to sharpen up, but hopefully with Boufal to return we can have a more dynamic presence in the last third without needing to call upon those two again.

Now it's over to Les to ship out the deadwood and the Black Box to identify and bring in some much needed firepower. We will have a better idea of where we are after the window closes.
