So, with reference to Lucy Carmichael's blog, these high net worth folk may also struggle to pass the FL's fit and proper persons test. And so it goes on.....

The January 2013 HCDAJFU thread...
Kingsland Red replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
Any one of Spurs four keepers- Gomes, Cudicini, Lloris or Friedel A solid experienced centre back: Dawson A decent left back, say Buttner A 'solid' midfield player like Huddlestone or Dembele No Davenport, Redknapp Junior, Olivier Bernard panic buys who are worse than what we have already, please. Job done ! -
We have one of the new wave of young managers who have totally encompassed diet, psychology, recovery etc and will use his current experiences to continue on his winning ways. If we stay up in 17th position he will have once again succeeded. If we are relegated we have the manager with the most promotions in the last 5 years on board. It's a win / win situation and maintains continuity. Let's not let the media spoil our party in seeking a story to conform to their Premiership blueprint.

Is Miltonroader07 the poster formerly known as benthelegend ?

West Ham bounced straight back into the Premiership after one season in the championship, we spent about six years in the wilderness, the first few spiralling to administration.

This . We stand together ... as one. Or as we used to say... COYR

We heard midweek that the team today would reflect NAs endeavour (and they certainly did well apart from the Gazzinga / Yoshida error). No Guly today, even on the bench, is he injured or has NA cast aside the rumoured Les Reed / NC "influence"?
-
I would say we are aggressive enough, however we are nowhere near incisive enough in the last third for all the possession we have, although listening to moaning fans on Talksh*te today, maybe no worse than Liverpool or Barcelona.

I keep getting this feeling of deja vu. I keep getting this feeling of deja vu. I keep getting this feeling of deja vu. I keep getting this feeling of deja vu. repeat ad nauseam

Or defensive midfield holding player..... or sweeper?
-
I think NC would be foolish to sack NA - give him the season, and if we do go down who is the most successful manager over the last few seasons in getting clubs promoted ? - NA. Its a win - win situation and continues to build on the stability built at the club since Markus arrived.
-
I'm sure NA could get a bit of help from NC with him bringing in someone like Maldini Junior or another Italian as a defensive coach.
-
We are clearly currently not better than that. We can be with a little patience without too much changing. It seems that now we are back in the Premiership everything lasts as long as a sound bite.
-
Maybe we have to accept that we are the 19th best team in the leagues at the moment, and do a bit of boing boing like WBA did for several seasons before they stepped up a few places. After our last seven seasons I would accept that for a few seasons.

Strange selection of posts on here after our reserves lost a game against a first team from the division below - similar to us v Blackpool as couple of seasons ago in the FA Cuo. When Holloway got Blackpool up, against the odds, they stuck with him in the Prem, in fact he's still there. Why the need for the disruption of change ?

Unlike Reading, first team 4-0 up at half time against Arsenal reserves .....

Room 101 - Milligan's views on Portsmouth What a Hero
Kingsland Red replied to monosaint's topic in The Lounge
The man is a legend, one of my heroes and just as mad in person as on stage / TV. What are we going to do now; what are we going to do now; etc. -
Six points adrift of safety at this point of the season. ......ooops

It was noticeable Fox shuffled over as a centre back when Tottenham attacked down their left with Lallana dropping back into the left back position. This failed miserably several times when Tottenham counter attacked and exploited the space by quickly switching play. This must have been under team coaching instruction and the player cannot take the blame for that .

Top Man: educated; dignified; worldly with a sense of reason; and like WGS, far too intelligent for the dregs of the media who conduct interviews with the same old dull dull dull roll out questions designed for ignorant uneducated self important guys like, erm, Saggy Chops.

Harry Redknapp to be named manager within 3 weeks
Kingsland Red replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Two season tickets on their way to you NC right here if Saggy Chops returns. He lost us when he returned to his spiritual home. I would rather be relegated with NA than have that here. ( No body seems to pick up on the fact NA went up with Scunny; then down; then up again when we took him. That would be good enough for me until we are able to break into the next set of teams, like WBA have managed to do) -
Totally agree with that Steve. However probably a bit too near home for Mr Allen and his chums, maybe a Panorama expose would be less 'dangerous'.
-
We already have a large coaching and performance team. Why not keep Adkins as front man and bring in a defensive coach. If McCarthy is good at organising them as has been mentioned earlier why not hire him to be "Defence coach' to sort out the foibles of Jos, Jose etc.

FWIW I think that as well as litigation there is probably a fear of the (unknown) Russian / Israeli mafia involvement. Having said that Hall seems happy / ludicrously naive to have his photo in The Snooze.
