You have GOT to bury that.

We’ll the pregame broadcast team got it right, showing 5 in the back when the game day squad was announced.

Newcastle with another result. (only 1 loss this season). Considering the money they spent/spend, Newcastle is now part of the newly christened mythical "Top 7" 1 Arsenal 2 City 3 Spurs 4 Chelsea 5 United 6 Newcastle 7 Liverpool
-
don't forget Tino hopefully back in the fold. Let's hope the ACL injury hasn't messed with his head.
-
when we are losing and not getting results, we say : "we just need a win. doesn't matter how it looks - just get the 3 points" today was an example of that
-
Puel was compared against Koeman's two years prior. Hasenhuttl was compared against Pellegrino Puel would have been given way more grace if he has been hired after the Pellegrino debacle. Instead his team was 17 points worse than the year previous.

Silver lining... Lavia to miss fewer games?
-
Exactly! That is my point. We got more value from what we spent. Our approach could have been Leeds and say buy Brenden Aaronson for £30M but instead we bought 3 (Lavia, Bazuna and ABK) for the same price. Which is the better business? I think you and I are in agreement here.
-
with the exception of Saints, every other club in the League bought at least one player that cost more than £12m.
-
Well, i guess he knows what he knows. So far, the well seems pretty fruitful, but does he have a second act?
-
Do you even City '21/'22, bro?
-
and of those 2.. One was a free kick and the other a world class strike, that is more often missed than made when attempted. Fun fact. He is the oldest player on Arsenal's 25 man roster
-
Well with a 6 week break in between. Yeah, you cant time injuries, but that is some pretty good re-coup time that the squad normally would not have the luxury of having.
-
talk of James Garner went cold
-
could he pass it on to A. Armstrong?
-
Payne had space and time to set up a picnic lunch there.

while it is kind of satisfying in the short term seeing Chelsea, Man City, etc. drop points, it means our relegation rivals are gaining points. I look at the 20 teams this year and it is difficult to make an argument for any of them going down - save maybe Bournemouth. The top 6 may end up in the top 6 this year, but it really feels like the bottom 14 have been more equal to each other than ever (at least to my admitted limited knowledge of history). Its going to be a dog fight.

4231 - I could have swore Ely was playing the 10 for the first fifteen minutes of the game or so.

great win. with so many new faces (players and coaching staff) i feel like everyone is still trying to get familiar with each other. I feel like we can only get better, but of course, we will have plenty of moments this season where we will look awful with such a young team - but the future feels bright and it's now. 5 new signees in the Starting XI today. Bella-Kotchap MoM for me. Tactically Leicester fell apart. Rodgers made changes when they were up 1-0 - notably Vardy off. Once it went 1-1, they weren't set up to respond offensively. Djenepo is really stepping up, helping the team, playing out of position. Will be nice when both Perraud and Tino are back fit. Che showed his value. Everyone will focus on his second goal, which was undoubtedly was spectacular, but his smarts and positioning were just as impressive on the first goal - watching him pivot off his player, finding the soft space in the defensive to take his goal. Leicester actually played pretty well defensively... i kept waiting for them to make mistakes in the defensive 3rd for the first 60 minutes (hoping Mara could capitalize), but they played pretty sound, crisp passes, didn't put one bad foot forward (until the last 30 minutes of course) i am not going to be displeased with 4 points in the first 3 matches (2 away games).
-
Well that certainly frees up money for Ramos if Wolves are looking to field an all Portuguese Starting XI.
-
i think City didn't want him on a PL club, as well. I felt like the writing was on the wall a few weeks ago that City didnt want him coming here.
