  1. So what is Clarkson doing for Comic Relief?
  2. It is so important for people to come forward and report these incidents. Without the stats it just makes dealing with these issues even harder.
  3. Love this. Perhaps you should change your username to Nappies though

I think the fee has already been agreed but I am sure he would do better with wages elsewhere. Also his club can buy out our option and sell him to someone else for more.
  5. The pictures of previous years contestants wouldn't disgrace Rolf or Gary.
  6. I still cant believe that these things still happen. I have just found something called the Miss Inspiration Beauty Pageant that is open to all contestants aged 6 years old and above. WTF?
  7. 61 years old and I still cant spell! My bad. Compere.
  8. grizzled
  9. All we need is for Jeremy Clarkson to compare the show and we are good to go!
  10. I just hope they are all over 15 What is it with the hats?
  11. I don't have the figures either but know from work that there is a higher rate of violence against women than against men. I am not sure about the homosexual figures but I didn't used to come across many of those at the CPS - perhaps it is a regional thing? Either way all DV should be treated as an issue. I have just seen the article that Lou started the thread with. I agree that men are more likely to carry out violence than women but when you see something like that you realise that anyone is capable of doing the most appalling things to their partners.
  12. It was a bit like living in a parallel universe. To be told by the Sussex policy that it was policy to remove the male when children are involved is just so wrong. If the perpetrator of any violence is the female why would you leave the children with her? I have seen many posters around Kent about DV and they all deal with male violence against females. Concerned parties really need to deal with DV across the board as you say.
  13. I agree that some people might get off. There was a phone in on Radio 2 yesterday with people phoning in about their experiences and it would appear that plenty of people get sacked in the workplace for assaulting a colleague. For the record, what is your opinion of his behaviour?
  14. When Sir Paul McCartney proposed to Heather Mills, do you think he went down on one knee?
  15. Question: How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb? Answer: A fish.
  16. Isnt that what makes a joke funny though? There is something in it that people recognise. I would say Batman's "joke" didn't work because it is not true that paedaphilia has not been recognised at the BBC (how many people have been found guilty so far of sex crimes?). If it was true and nothing had been done about it, it would have been funny.
  17. Bloody hell, have we gone through a worm hole or something? I seem to have woken up in the 70s?
  18. Oh I see. Doesn't a joke suppose to have some basis in truth though? Like if Clarkson had said there is a slope on the bridge and the only guy on it was a Pakistani, then there is no joke.
  19. Sorry I don't understand? Where do I say it happens everywhere? It does happen and people do lose their jobs.
  20. Not strictly true though is it Batman? How many programmes have been made and articles written about Saville and others? I would say it has been one of the hottest media topics for some time now. No one says a word? If you are going to support Jeremy you are going to have to do better than this mate.
  21. Really though? Clarkson was on a final warning about his behaviour and then he kicks off big time because he cant get a steak at a producer when drunk and in a public place witness by others. Do you think that if you or I did that it would have been sorted out quietly and things would have carried on? No, we would be suspended pending an inquiry and more than likely dismissed.
