Always look on the bright side of life. I went to a funeral where they played Gone fishing at the end. Made everyone smile.

You cant race after someone and push them over and the sending off was correct. Having said that, after watching the vid dozens of times I think Barnes knows what he is doing and makes sure he connects with Matic. He has a glance and sees where he is and does him. Should have been sent off too IMO. Clearly follows through.

Nice to see you are consistent Noodles. Not only do you have little faith in the Board but it seems you feel the same about the players.
-
The manager seems to rate him and I would go with Koeman's opinion over those here anyday.

I have raised this point before but I am British and am not bothered if someone calls me a Brit. I don't get how a Pakistan can be offended by being called a Paki but apparently they are - so be it.

Koeman says Mané was dropped due to discipline

Why not? And wasn't Mane 30 minutes late? -
And there are ones he could have done far worse with. The defensive unit includes the goalkeeper. I don't think we can complain too much can we? It just seems as though some people have an axe to grind because we got rid of Boruc.
-
Agreed. MLT was a unique talent and we wont see his like again sadly. Plenty of decent players around but he was on a different level.
-
He is part of that defensive unit. We need to give him a break because he is really not as bad as some people would like to make out. You don't win matches if you don't score goals and that has been our problem recently, not Forster.
-
Spot on.
-
Cant believe people fault him for the first. Don't think anyone would have saved that. As for the second it took a deflection and it wasn't an easy stop. Give the guy a break. We are still in the top six so he must be doing something right.

We may have lost yesterday but from what I saw we were the better team. Other teams have had a chance to do their homework on us and are treating us with respect. That alone is massive. It has been a wonderful season so far and no matter how it ends up, I am full of confidence that we are only going to improve next season. Still a happy bunny despite the result yesterday.

I am with you there Monk. I used to groan when I saw his name on the teamsheet but fair play to the guy, he has really stepped up. It is nice to be proved wrong about a player!!!

The dog ate his homework. Professional footballers don't have too much to worry about off the pitch. Surely getting to a game on time is quite high on the agenda. Fair play to RK. -
We still would have lost. Still, I guess it is his fault that we didn't score any goals either.

It is a good result whatever happens later surely?

The CPS and police deal with discrimination cases under the umbrella of "hate crime." This involves people who have been targeted for their skin type, sexual persuasion, religious beliefs, gender etc. Although they are grouped together the case are also identified by type ie - religious, racial, domestic violence, homophobic etc so that figures for each type of discriminatory crime can be broken down specifically. If a crime is committed and the reason is down to any of the above, then why wouldn't you report that and make an issue of it? The guy on the Paris Metro was clearly singled out because of the colour of his skin. Black players used to have bananas thrown at them whilst playing football. A charmless lady has just been thrown out from UKIP for explaining why she doesn't like negroes. In all of these cases the common denominator is that the victims have been singled out for being black. When people are singled out for being Muslim, Christian, female, gay, whatever then that is the reason for the alleged offence and so that is what gets reported. Yes race crime is reported on if the victim's skin is black and why not? As we have seen, The Mail published a story about a white woman who has been racially abused so it is relevant to make an issue of skin colour. The bottom line is always ignorant discrimination but it is relevant to mention what caused the issue so that that type of discrimination can be dealt with within its own type. Sadly some people will discriminate against others purely because of the colour of their skin. That needs to be dealt with as does the discrimination against other groups. If you lump it all in together it makes it harder to deal with the specifics.
