  1. Managers rather than CEOs surely? McMenemy deserves a place.
  2. Maybe we will play with 3 CBs? Maybe Fonte's place is under threat? We shall find out soon though once the guy is fit!
  3. Dodgy looking crew!
  4. Always funny when Yanks talk about "soccer"
  5. I am not sure why this need to worry about whether the guy will stay or not! Why not enjoy him while he is here and worry about that at the end of the season? Blimey, isnt there enough cr*p to worry about in the world today?
  6. Blimey Alps, have the meds finally kicked in???
  7. It is Judgement Day after every game Prof. Win and we are world beaters. Lose and we are cr*p and are going down. Not every team will be as easy to beat as West Ham but you can only play and beat what is in front of you. I am sure there will be more games like WBA but I am also sure that we have a team that can compete at this level and that is all we can ask for. Pochettino took a while to settle in and I hope that Ronald K is given the same luxury.
  8. The point has been made before that you can keep one or two digruntled players without affecting the squad but if it is half the team you have no chance. There was clearly a probelm within the squad that has now mostly been sorted. As for Shaw, Lallana and Lovren - from what we know now, frankly no, wouldnt have any of them. Shaw it seems had his head elsewhere some time ago and it was only Reed that persuaded him to stay a bit longer. We have seen what kind of characters that Lallana and Lovren are and we are better off without them. Re the cash - it would make no sense to blow it all in one go. We have money for back ups in January should we need it and money to help the club continue to build at the grassroots level. I am sure none of us ever want to be in the position that we were in a few years ago. The future looks ok to me.
  9. I am going to have to do more research into the Bard and moist matresses!
  10. Yep, most of mine are in their late 60s or 70s. Very sad.
  11. The big question about Jay, as we all know, is will he come back as strong and as good? I hope so but it is a big injury for someone who relies on pace to come back from.
  12. Would that be on The Great British Flick Off?
  13. I share your feelings mate. All of this badge kissing nonsense is pathetic and we know most of the players really dont give a stuff and will kiss anything if the price is right. Long gone are the days of Terry Paine. MLT was an exception but even he would probably move on nowdays. Thungs have changed but a good cup run would be brilliant. What a chance we had last year!
  14. One of the longest has to be Rudi "Has He Signed Yet" Skacel
  15. With Nicola Cortese as the scheming "Little Finger" and Dejan Lovren as Ned Stark (head's gone).
  16. I am thinking there might be something here for HBO. They have a huge sucess with Game of Thrones but I can see a huge hit for Board of Fools!!!
  17. Alas poor Tadic, I knew him Osvaldo, a fellow of infinite skill and most fancy footwork
  18. Like everyone else I was not happy seeing one player after another leave. Not sure how the new squad will shape up but things look promising. What I can say is that I am no longer unhappy that they have left. Lallana and Lovren showed how shallow they both are. I certainly dont begrudge Rickie his dream move after all he did for us. Shaw and Chambers see to have their heads elsewhere whilst still in nappies. At some point I am sure that both Schneiderlin and JRod will move on but at least they will be here to help RK bed in the new players. Lots to look forward to (especially the decline of Manchester United).

    Pelle

I wonder how much that cost him? What is the going rate for a quickie nowdays?
  20. What is a m between friends?
  21. Genious on behalf of the agent and at least that is one less dodgy b*gger selling second hand cars!!!
  22. The reason I think that they kept their heads is because they have had a difficult time in getting their targets in but seem to have moved methodically down the list and brought in the players that RK wants/needs. With the exception of perhaps Long, I dont think we have paid silly money for anyone and when thinks have looked dodgy (Rojo etc) we have moved on. I think they have delivered what they said they would and you cant ask for more than that. As for the manager - an inspired hiring I agree.
  23. Tadic looks like the player to get people out of their seats. He has adapted very well to Prem footy and looks nailed on to help us forget all about our previous captain!
  24. I am sure you are right about Rickie's move. I expect he would have signed anything they put in front of him and £4 is loose change for Liverpool. Sadly for Rickie though it looks like he will be more of a fan than a player.
