  1. A load of tarts on boths sides then?
  2. At least I can say Ive seen Forren play now.
  3. Did they say no sales though? Koeman said he was aware of all of the outgoing plans and was clearly in conversation with the Board about this before hisofficial appointment.
  4. You cant stop Chris Squire doing a bass solo. Any Yes concert comes with one guaranteed. Best I saw was was the guy who plays bass with Carl Palmers current band. Not a solo as such but he played the whole of Stairway To Heaven on the bass and it was amazing.
  5. I spent some time in Seattle a few years back and the kids were crazy about playing "soccer" in the park - but there wasnt much on TV. Do you think it will ever be as big as American Football and baseball over there?
  6. How were they dishonest though? They said no player would be sold unless the manager agreed and it was in the clubs best interest. They said the club wasnt for sale. They said they would rebuild the squad. From what I heard they have pretty much been straight.
  7. You still dont get it do you Robbie? Just because many of us didnt wet our beds every 5 minutes didnt mean we didnt care. Time and again the bed wetters were told to wait and see what hapened by the end of the window before they slit their wrists. The Board had promised action and all we had to be was patient. As for those brave souls who wet their beds on behalf of the club, I think the only message it sent to the Board was dont listen to these reactionary idiots.
  8. I think it is generally because they just dont "get it" over there. They seem to have a problem wth 0-0 draws (like kissing your sister they said, and many of them should know). Didnt they want to make the goals bigger so it was easier to score?
  9. Managers rather than CEOs surely? McMenemy deserves a place.
  10. Maybe we will play with 3 CBs? Maybe Fonte's place is under threat? We shall find out soon though once the guy is fit!
  11. Dodgy looking crew!
  12. Always funny when Yanks talk about "soccer"
  13. I am not sure why this need to worry about whether the guy will stay or not! Why not enjoy him while he is here and worry about that at the end of the season? Blimey, isnt there enough cr*p to worry about in the world today?
  14. Blimey Alps, have the meds finally kicked in???
  15. It is Judgement Day after every game Prof. Win and we are world beaters. Lose and we are cr*p and are going down. Not every team will be as easy to beat as West Ham but you can only play and beat what is in front of you. I am sure there will be more games like WBA but I am also sure that we have a team that can compete at this level and that is all we can ask for. Pochettino took a while to settle in and I hope that Ronald K is given the same luxury.
  16. The point has been made before that you can keep one or two digruntled players without affecting the squad but if it is half the team you have no chance. There was clearly a probelm within the squad that has now mostly been sorted. As for Shaw, Lallana and Lovren - from what we know now, frankly no, wouldnt have any of them. Shaw it seems had his head elsewhere some time ago and it was only Reed that persuaded him to stay a bit longer. We have seen what kind of characters that Lallana and Lovren are and we are better off without them. Re the cash - it would make no sense to blow it all in one go. We have money for back ups in January should we need it and money to help the club continue to build at the grassroots level. I am sure none of us ever want to be in the position that we were in a few years ago. The future looks ok to me.
  17. I am going to have to do more research into the Bard and moist matresses!
  18. Yep, most of mine are in their late 60s or 70s. Very sad.
  19. The big question about Jay, as we all know, is will he come back as strong and as good? I hope so but it is a big injury for someone who relies on pace to come back from.
  20. Would that be on The Great British Flick Off?
  21. I share your feelings mate. All of this badge kissing nonsense is pathetic and we know most of the players really dont give a stuff and will kiss anything if the price is right. Long gone are the days of Terry Paine. MLT was an exception but even he would probably move on nowdays. Thungs have changed but a good cup run would be brilliant. What a chance we had last year!
  22. One of the longest has to be Rudi "Has He Signed Yet" Skacel
  23. With Nicola Cortese as the scheming "Little Finger" and Dejan Lovren as Ned Stark (head's gone).
  24. I am thinking there might be something here for HBO. They have a huge sucess with Game of Thrones but I can see a huge hit for Board of Fools!!!
