I think it's referred to as fitting his agenda. The tweaking of facts, the careful choice of particular stats to fit the troll's argument...
-
Perhaps he wants a change of scenery and West Bromwich is closer to his family than Southampton?
-
Only reason I can think of is that it means we've still got something up our sleeve in case they renege on their promise they won't be pursuing the player further.

Not sure whether it applies to Saints, but saw this mentioned in relation to Fosun at Wolves and AC Milan's own takeover. https://www.ft.com/content/a6bfabd0-5818-11e7-80b6-9bfa4c1f83d2?mhq5j=e1

A few have said he's wanted to go for some time because he wants to go back up a step, in fairness. I agree price is too low though.
-
So you're saying that Saints should add extra seats on or so because of the Moroccans liking the club's Facebook page after Boufal joined?

... You know anyone can edit on Wiki, right?

"Securing a deal for Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk would sit nicely alongside Keïta’s arrival, although that is now much more complicated because Liverpool were far too busy congratulating themselves at having persuaded the player his future was on Merseyside to actually submit a bid. The Premier League is still awaiting observations from both clubs before deciding whether to formally open a tapping-up investigation into Liverpool’s conduct." Big difference being he didn't have James Beattie telling him to go on strike at Salzburg though. I haven't got a problem with players coming here, playing well for 2-4 seasons, and then going on for a big profit. That's a fact of life for a club the size of Saints. What I do have a problem with is players meeting opposition managers in secret meetings, and going on strike to get a move (I didn't particularly like it when Mané did it, which is presumably why Saints didn't want to stand too far in his way out as he may have repeated the incident and the fee may have been a fair bit lower).

They normally didn't find out until about 90 minutes beforehand according to a few of the reports; the teamsheets have to be done an hour before the game AFAIA. Normally players are told the morning of the game, if not the day before.

It'd be far more entertaining than your 10 years of monotone, repetitive drivel.

Must be really boring if people are panicking and fretting over betting odds on signings Betting odds and agent accounts on Twitter this time of year are the absolute worst. Oh look! Vieira hasn't been linked but his odds are dropping because people are putting money on it, must be true!!1!1!
-
Were apparently going to take Chambers back on loan before Koeman was sacked, so not surprised if there was interest (fee more than a tad inflated, mind)
-
Thing is with Vieira and the "won it all as a player argument" is that whilst it works in the short-term to earn respect, if the players don't like or don't rate their methods that aura wears very thin. Koeman for example had respect because of his playing career to start with, but it's not hard to believe his iron-rod approach meant his CV as a player didn't really mean much.

I think the third choice being left in there is important, surely wouldn't have put that in there unless it was. The only reasons I can think of is that the mystery man is the first choice, or he is in a job currently.
-
Considering he's on £90k a week now, I'd suggest his agent would tell you where to stick your offer. That's before you get to the point of him actually being that great; he stood out at AV because the rest were pretty poor, not because he was brilliant.
-
If we kept Mane for one more year, he'd have one year left on his contract and you would've blamed Les Reed for only getting £15-20m for him. We had already made him wait one year, and Mane had gone on strike to get his move to Saints so would it have really been worth another year with an unhappy player losing £20m in the process? You can say Ralph is trying to stop that, as though Reed does absolutely nothing of credit, but I doubt very much whether Krueger is really that involved with player contracts.

Puel Sacked? - As Reported by Crook of Sh*t
GGalpin replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
That's the exact reason they wouldn't have pulled the plug on him. Having said that, if they don't find anyone and Puel is kept in the job, it would be practically disastrous; not because he isn't a decent manager, but if he had problems with getting fans and players on side last season, going into next season with the players fans and board all wanting him gone means he's in white-water rapids on an lilo. For all the stuff people like to chuck at the board, keeping Puel after basically spending preseason looking for a new man would admittedly be very amateurish. -
Mentioned as one of the team's chasing Sunderland youngster Joel Asoro here. http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport/football/sunderland-afc/arsenal-make-5m-double-swoop-for-sunderland-wonderkids-1-8588738

Must admit I find the term 'skilful' being used as a criticism very funny. Woe betide anyone not running around like a headless chicken who can actually use a football...
-
Nasty habit of putting statements on Liverpool's official website in an attempt to make him look bad, too...
