If Burnley was to get him then it would come down to offering the player more wages than we have. Although we both would of agreed a 35k salary and if a club feel they are losing out then they will offer more money to the player. This is the part where we will stay on a price and not shift. Nice information and three class players is all we need next season. I know many great players played under RH is his previous clubs and I don’t see wh he can’t get a couple in.

Do you honestly think RH would of become our manager if we were going to sell some big players and recruit in none? The true fact is that those that have left or are going to leave will not take us to the next level. If RH brings in some attacking and energetic players then this team can really go places.

I get the impression that Goa will let all transfer money raised go back into the club. With just the Gabby 12 million we don’t really have much to play with. Come the summer all those on loan must be sold which will give us about 50 million. Then you have the likes of Elloynessi, Austin, Cedric that could raise you 25 million. Reckon 75 million will be enough to bring in 3 class players plus a couple of promising youngsters.

Positives: (1) Other fans and pundits are starting to enjoy watching Saints again. (2) When we press it’s the greatest feeling ever watching defenders pump it out of touch. (3) Can’t wait to play 4 at the back as we will be even more attacking. (4) Love how RH always puts on attacking subs to lift the pressing tempo again. Negatives: (1) We over commit in corners as the amount of times we scramble back in a panic is not good. (2) Need to finish games off better.

Its no benefit for RH to extend a contract as he knows he can get a better paid job elsewhere. A longer contract only means the club get more compensation which would not bother him.

Listening to RH comments on Romeu gives me the impression he wants someone that protects the back four so we don’t play 5 at the back.

Still think it depends if we can get rid of Cedric as our right wing back option could be stronger. Also an on loan striker like Lookman who would look the part in our system. Then come the summer you get rid of all those not suited and bring in three class players to play attacking and quick football. Sell Romeu, Austin, Long, Bertrand (If he has not stepped up) and Hoedt to raise some good fees.

No longer looking down and it’s a matter of who can we catch. I expect to win 3 out of those 5 plus at least a draw for good measure.

Bet Hughes is at home thinking how the hell is he getting some these players playing like they are? The next club he goes too will be fu.cked I tell you as he is a dinosaur that’s killing football with the money he is stealing.
