  1. Demographics the same, yep a seaside retirement town and a port city, just the same. I never have any animosity toward Aunty Bournemouth and wish them well. Whilst I would prefer to beat you as I have a few Cherry friends who have all of a sudden got full of themselves, it doesn't wind me up as we all know they are insignificant. In time you may well become a bigger club but it will take quite some time. If the Russian gets bored or EH leaves then the problems may well start. You know that really and you really do need to finish above us
  2. Thanks for reminding me, I know it should be first thing on my mind today. 'Its Ours' the best headline I can remember in the Pink football echo. So many memories. One of the best seeing the Southampton Manchester supporters club coach coming into the services and then driving straight back out as they saw a few coaches of Saints fans waiting for them to stop lol
  3. I would add that I like JWP and cant see why you are always comparing the 2, when they are both in different parts of the set up of the team. The proof in the pudding will be when there is a bidding war for JWP. Hopefully that wont happen as it would be good if he develops with us.
  4. My god you are a total fool.0 end product what stupid thing to say, Saturday it was his sublime flick that set up the first goal
  5. Personally I would prefer them not to reach the final. A defeat in the 2 leg game will do. Im just going to aksmy Pompey mate what the date of our fixture with next season is, as he assured me we were playing them next season
  6. Yep, I worry as most as most but the over the top comments as though we have got safe by the skin of our teeth is madness. Obviously you can never take football for granted but for both Cardiff and Brighton to overtake us before today !!!!
  7. I dont get the phew's and well done fulham. It would have taken some weird results for us to go down. We were safe after the Watford game or even before that. I suggest we wont be letting lots of late goals next season
  8. I would have thought the scout at Brentford would have been a decent choice as they do seem to find some decent young players
  9. I totally understand what you say there Vienna and is spot on. Please excuse the lack of class of other posters who couldn't write a paragraph in a second language. Good to get more insight from your perspective
  10. 49k pw!! Thats the madness of football
  11. that's a bit harsh Steve. Last ditch defending is not always due to them being out of position, but perhaps due to others not doing their job or a brilliant piece of play. I think Leicesters back 2 pairing when they won the PL were of similar ilk. Yes its nice to have silky centre backs but sometimes its reassuring to see a centre back hump the ball and forward into the stands
  12. Pompey are obviously a good side at the level. Sunderland are as flaky as hell and so I fully expect a Pompey victory up there.
  13. Ok but you know what I meant, it was correct to bring him on
  14. Its interesting that some say we should have been 2 or 3 up when it is patently clear Watford should have equalised a few minutes later, their fans would no doubt say that if they had of scored then they would have won. I notice there is criticism of Simms on for Long, if RH hadnt done that which seems to me perfectly correct he would have moans whyt he hadnt. A great point and basically if we get a point from the 3 games Cardiff have to win all 3. I agree they will probably win 2 (Fulham and Palace( im not sure they will get 3
  15. Yep. Best not start this as there was a bit of bile going around the last time someone posted about him. Personally I think he's great but there are some bitter people out there who need to have a pop
  16. Palace will do what Pompey did for WBA roll over for their rivals to go down. Palace will like to send brighton down
  17. It ok deridog Hoedt but forget not he is a club financial asset, the worst he does means less when we sell him to go into the transfer kitty
  18. Ladies teams?
  19. I think fans are being disengenuous as Hughes saved us last season. He lost us but I think you will find at this stage last season we were gone. Give him the credit that he got us enough to stay up, we made Swansea go down with the result there. Topewsult for a manager we needed at that time,
  20. I thought it said on Sky that he had scored 8 this season. Assists only count if a goal is scored, with our forwards I think Messi would have trouble having good stats
  21. you're a national treasure Mack but the rest...…..
  22. Before you say about getting such simple things wrong, the ball came off Mane and went to Henderson who headed it on for Salah, so get your simple facts right. As for Redmond losing the ball, he is more likely to as he is up front against theor defenders and making attacking thrusts, JWP can do a sideward or backward pass if he is closed down.
  23. Sorry to hear about the Navitimer, I think you bought it on line if I recall correctly? The pitfalls of the internet.
  24. I had a client who was wearing an original Man on the Moon version he had bought in the early 1970's, lovely watch with NATO strap. The old duffer wouldn't sell it to me,!! Lol. I have one that is about 10 years old, but it would have been nice to have got one. The ironic thing about servicing is that many of the most collectable and now valuable watches are worth more if they were not serviced. !!!The reason being that when shall we say a submariner was sent back to be serviced Rolex updated the dials etc to the latest style. Therefore they lost their originality and so collectors want the ones that never went back and so have original dials etc. I was offered a Rolex day date last week as her husband had passed away a little while ago, sadly she sent it to be serviced before selling it and has had a bill for £1500. She would have got the same money for it if she hadn't. Anyway the servicing cost has made it not viable to buy. I wish I could work out how to put up images from here but it seems either my computer or the site wont let me!!
  25. I notice that Spurs have the largest seated end in the league with astand of 17k.Imagine if they have turned that into a home kop, it will be intimidating. I expect if we did the same most of our fans would still be want stand next to the away fans.
