  1. I just watched a bit of his car rash interview and noticed the same
  2. I have no problem paying a bit more tax,if it finds the right destination. I would be happier if it meant more people lifted from paying tax at the lower levels. They work hard and need to feel it is worthwhile. Only last week someone I know was offered a promotion and payrise but turned it down as they would loss benefits ,is this how it all should work?
  3. At the end of the day it seems to me that JC has a lot of time for the Palestinians and so may well not appreciate Israel. I myself have sympathy for the Palestinians as they do seem to get a raw deal. I didnt watch the interview but Corbyn was not on form it seems and had to admit it is not just the few who are going to be taxed, the low income taxpayers are as well to a tune of £250 minimum.

  5. Gary Rhodes RIP only 59

  7. i have been surprised that people thought Boris did poorly. I thought he did well and got a good ovation at the end. As much as I wanted to dislike the Scot lady I thought she came across well. Swanson lol totally out of her depth
  8. When I managed a couple of the forum games at SMS I met lots from here and without exception all were fantastic lads. Even Dubai Phil lol. Sadly a lot of them don’t post anymore. Brilliant couple of evenings
  9. On paper perhaps but they may not work as it could well work in reverse. I recall all the crowing when many fools joined the Labour party to vote JC in as they would never get into power again , shows how they misread that situation. I am centre right but I must say the posters who are further right to myself dont do the cause any good with the crowing and obvious arrogance. I agree the left are not above that and are very patronising but civility would be better way to put your argument across. All IMHO of course
  10. Hes a disgraceful runt. It galls me that the Tories have to entertain dealing with him. Cameron was right UKIP were a bunch of fruitcakes but he was wrong to go for the referendum. I wish that Labour had stayed more central and not lurched so far to the left. At least then I could not worry of them getting in.
  11. I dont see why you would attack the system so far out from an election. I doubt it is as sinister as it seems
  12. English is not his first language, sadly our numbnuts didnt give Puel a chance as he didnt speak fluent English
  13. I dont think so , the oil companies put the prices up at the slightest drop inthe pound but slow to reduce them when it strengthens. I get what you say though.
  14. Are you talking about Farages former party? Frankly I dont care about them, but it did seem unfair but probably not as unfair as the Scot nationalists who get a small proportion of votes and get a lot of say in our own parliament. I dont want PR as it ends up a joke and lots of horse trading, similar to the Tories and DUP. There is no perfect way and so I would keep to what we know.

    Matt Targett

I liked Targett, but he was always a bit too soft, I think Koeman got frustrated with him tht if he got hurt in a tackle he wanted to come off rather than play through it.
  16. well that's how its been and how it is. It could be said that how come 52% voted in favour of something but the 48% are thwarting the majority's desire. If you truly think the first past the post is wrong and its not fair, how do you think the majority ( im not one of them) feel as they are being stopped by people like yourself???
  17. there used to be a yellow donkey in the 20th century but I think they made such a mess of things the donkey was put down. A party of Thorpe and the big fat paedo who they covered for many years dont deserve much thrift. Although as I said Cameron with Clegg was a decent balanced mix
  18. Perhaps Spain at present is a good example of why coalitions are not a good thing. First past the post has worked for a long time in our democracy. Although I did enjoy the Con Lib term. I have had to suffer under Wilson, Brown, Blair and co, but I accepted it, the same as I have us leaving. Its how you have to deal with things, if Corbyn gets in I will have to adjust accordingly and it is about time I stopped working 6+ days a week.
  19. Duncan, to be fair I cant recall a manager you have been supportive of. I feel you went off Ralph bigtime as he sold your friend SG and so you turn on him. Ralph is a big disappointment, but look what he has to work with!! Give a chef a tin of corned beef and see what he can make against a rival chef who has the finest cuts of beef. We as fans have been let down by many people, Les Reed , Ross Wilson, Katrina and Gao. Ralph came and took a big risk by joining us and I think it must have dawned on him after the Cardiff game last season how little he has to work with. I like Derrys idea of Ings in the midfield as at least he makes cutting passes, the rest of our midfield couldn't cut a sandwich. I would ask you to be more supportive of the manager as Adam Leitch put it so well on the Total saints podcast, we cant keep binning the manager. Listen to it and Im sure as a reasonable man you will see the sense
  20. Good episode, and pleased that you weren't wanting Ralph to go. Adam very good and put it as I feel
  21. Ive never been less interested in Saints/PL/Football in all my 50+ years supporting Saints. Last season I was boosted by Ralph believing that there would be some young snips in from Germany who would transform our play into an athletic pressing team, sadly pressing has become depressing! Our midfield has been dull for seasons and Wilson/Reed have walked away with their reputations intact in wider football, a disgrace
  22. It is at these depressing ties that names like him get floated lol
  23. they also have some complete arses that down tools if they don't like it
  24. the last really scintillating football I recall was under him. The final was superb, forget not the Liverpool semi home and away where we destroyed them at SMS plus WHU away etc etc. He didn't have a transfer window to improve the team, look at who Leicester bought under him
  25. The common denominator in all of this is the players. They believe they are better than they are. Puel was never given a proper chance and considering the majority of the team he took to 8th shows how well he did, and also why he played so defensively as they are dire
