  1. For me to point out that how I despise the way he treats woman as a throwaway product should be enough. You may think that he's just a lad and you are happy for women to be used and tossed aside after use. Whilst most of the women know what they are up against it is not a great reflection if his opinions on anything are worth listening to. You will find him a darling because he is in bed with Ed but that is IMO blinding you from his disgusting ways. Typical of modern society CList people being celebs for doing sweet FA. Oh and he can take his mate Jonathan Ross with him
  2. Not of interest to many, and minor in the big picture but the Tories are going to ban the buying/selling of any ivory items whatever the age.At present it is rightfully illegal to sell any item post 1947. In theory any musical instrument eg pianos and other ancient works of art will be embraced into this madness. They must have been talking too much to the Royals who want to crush the nations/Royal collection of ivory items that are part of our heritage . Whilst people can pass them down or give them away a lot of items will be lost due to neglect and ignorance
  3. thankfully the voters saw throug the dogma, 25 years on and the NHS is still not privatised
  4. what a surprise. Labour are welcome to that disgusting excuse of a human being. If women take any notice of him they should be ashamed of themselves
  5. What's the problem? If people want private schools and private care , that in theory can make room for others in the NHS, of course we don't want the NHS downgraded but if they run alongside each other that is good
  6. when Labour came to power, Blair and Brown took the BoE powers away and let the banks self regulate. That led to the mess we are in. it was great for a while as loads of money came into the Exchequor and Labour could spend. They were like Crack Whores on it and couldnt go cold turkey. A few on S4E mentioned at the time it was madness, that people who could not put £1 down on a house could borrow 100% and more and it would end in tears. The crash came and we werre left in a worse position than most countries in the world. Yes there were other factors but Blair and co took the cork out of the bottle
  7. What is the big deal about her? I don't get all the worship. She made her money with the nations support and then move off to tax exile
  8. Most of these people fleeing seem to young men, there are women and children amongst them but the massive majority are men. Have they abandoned their families and run off to Europe. I assume as they are integrated into Europe they will be allowed to bring countless more of their families across to join them.
  9. Mane is going to. E one of the best players in the PL next season. Once Koeman has used his skill moulding him and utilising his skill and pace he is going to be one hell of an exciting player
  10. Ings has t scored for 9 games but we have loads shouting for him to join us. Pelle is not Lambert, but I doubt Lambert would have scored many with the players around him. When he played at the top he did not win many in the air.It was his quick brain and ground play that stood out
  11. To let him go without being upset is a major challenge. I hope he is so successful here he won't want to leave, but that is just not reality.
  12. if they had to do a revaluation of all homes, it is the only way to find out which hit the 2m level it will hit the poor as well as the wealthier. In 2005 they did a revaluation in Wales, four times as many homes when up a band than down. That hit the poor as well as they rich. They will not be able to just magic up who has those homes. Imagine also the cost to this??????
  13. no it didnt, but people with houses far more valuable houses pay a decent whack when they buy. They pay higher rates of stamp duty and so already pay more than the average. A mansion tax would be payable every year. I suspect in time the tax will be factored in in the price. This is a regressive tax, 20 years ago 100k would have got you a lot, 30years ago 60k would have got you a detached house in the new Forest and 35 years ago 30k would have bought you a 1930's house in a nice estate. Had this idea been 0put into place in those periods we would all now be paying the mansion tax. Be careful what you wish for, as it will effect rentals as well as homeowners in some way of other as time goes on.
  14. the stamp duty is a one off pay out, not every year. Forget not the stamp duty on the high priced house is higher, it was galling when I had to pay 40k some years back. All for nothing as far as i was concerned.
  15. Which Phillips are you talking about ? I have just looked them up, that is not the Phillips that i was thinking of, but Phillips son and Neale who were swallowed up by Bonhams. The one you are talking about ,you can put as much tax on them as you like as they seem to be selling contemporary art. Emperors new clothes as far as im concerned, but it is all down to personal taste
  16. there shouldnt be any duty on items that have already had tax paid on. Phillips are no longer going as Bonhams took them over. I think that going to football is a luxury and so 20% extra tax should be applied to that, or why not motor racing?
  17. the only cheap way of doing this will be to put the tax on the highest brackets in the council tax bands. The 2m thing IMo is a smokescreen to not spook people. To assess every property in the country will cost far more than it will raise. I have asked the question on here, in fact i have asked a few questions on here regarding 'what is the broadest shoulders?' when Ed mentions them paying more and also what now constitutes poverty? Not of the Labour biased posters on here have been able to answer but just brush it off with 'yawn'
  18. Oh no, that is sad. I was very pleased a few weeks back when a colleague told me that Dave sometimes went to an auction at Minstead. I asked him to get Dave to come and visit me at my business to meet up again after a few years. His stories about Shankley etc were so entertaining RIP Dave a really modest man
  19. I notice Ed was going on about the mansion tax this morning. Has anyone asked him how the exchequer knows which houses are in the £2m price bracket? I assume all houses will have to be valued. The Chartered surveyors will love drawing the money in for that. i expect it will cost as much to find the houses worth than it will draw in.
  20. I know you're not Turkish....people like Turkish
  21. I assume it would help when certain posters seem to gang up to support a point but it is the same person all the time.
  22. There is a thread about Ings on here, he seems to be the player a lot of people on here think is the answer. 800 minutes without scoring and counting lol. Remember how Pelle was rated when he was at that level without scoring. too many on here think that being a centre forward is easygoing, especially when he is isolated so much. The opposition have worked out that is you put a couple of defenders on him our game is nullified. Playing up front is not like it is in the park where you can score for fun
  23. so what construes the shoulders of the rich and also poverty?
  24. Lord Janner not prosecuted as not in the publics interest! No wonder conspiracy theories flourish. The poor kids who were maltreated yet again do not get justice
