  1. Just wait for a bad run or some difficult transfer business and the bickering will be back in full flow. Most of those on the other site rarely did the wind up IMO
  2. time will tell, I found the humour a bit of a relief from some of the bickering. The loss of posters has weakened the site, but it has been going that way for sometime now.
  3. i think there are 70 members and so in theory that is 70 who are less likely to post on here.
  4. Come on Saintsweb, they are on page 4 talking about this thread already. Surely we can compete or is it that there are so few left on here that the Marie Celeste has more crew lol
  5. anything that weakens the debate on here is a backward step. personally I liked Bearsy a lot but it takes all types I suppose. CB Fry and others like to stir things but at least they do make the place lively at times. Sterile sites become very dull. Anyway I will view both sites and add my pennyworth now and again on here
  6. As this site is pretty slow and less and less people contributing i have been looking in on the Splinter Groups site, Sotonians. It seems to be a another good forum. Looks a very similar format to this forum with different areas to look at,depending what mood you are in. It is sad that those contributors are not still here lightening up this one, no doubt in time it will develop the same spats as on here. Hopefully they will still contribute here as well. Iam quite sure when any real action happens to debate regarding the Saints, here will be the first port of call for the majority. The irony is for me that the site is called Sotonians but most dont live in Southampton, whats the old 2 Ronnies joke about the Welsh Boomerang, 'it doesnt return but just sings about returning.' Good luck to them, and i hope it works but not at the expense of its big brother.
  7. if he falls, lets hope he doesnt land on some poor innocent going about their normal life
  8. Died aged 91, always will be remembered for his brilliant Fagin in Oliver
  9. this is a dilemma,we cant see women and children dying (or anybody) but at what stage can we call an end to the flow of people? Is this an open ended commitment that in the end the whole face of our society is changd. I walked around Exeter a week or so ago and i was surprised how many East European voices i heard. that has happened in a couple of years, what will happen to the face of Europe if we get 10 years+ of this.
  10. it does beg the question of is 8m high enough, Ive seen their shooting and I would have thought the fence should be higher.
  11. well you asked if any youngsters and so that counted out a load of posters on here. I would be happy trying it for a few weeks but as i have a lovely wife why bother I wonder who is the sad one in the situation, the old man who can only get the young girls as he's rich or the young girls as they stoop to it?
  12. Good for the USA ,the only ones with gumption to take him to task. Uefa could step in and become a World organisation
  13. im amazed after the first question you were allowed a second!!
  14. I think they did 40 years ago
  15. has anyone mentioned the Hull wingback El Hamody??? He strikes me as a hardworking and skill full player
  16. To show such disrespect to Kelvin is a disgrace, of course we should be friends as he is a class act and a true professional and Saint. Personally I see Djurucic as having a spark that may be great for us
  17. thanks, no wonder this site is on the wane. Bearsy is somebody you know would make you smile everyday. Come back Bearsy..oh and Pap not that I read all his stuff
  18. Oh dear, is there a reason for that?
  19. I do hope you are using trustworthy people, wouldn't like a Skate to translate it for us!!!,,
  20. After watching the Jimmy Greaves thread elsewhere on here, it made we wonder if you take away all the hype of the foreign players has English football I proved technically. Taking into account of the modern day football boots and balls etc, the quality of the pitches I'm not sure that the game is any better. It may be nostalgia but in the early 80s Saints played superb football and we only had Golac. If you watch football ere runs of the 70s the skill on those pitches and with heavy leather balls was pretty decent
  21. Bearsy by a country mile. Wes Tender for being honest CB Fry for rare laugh out loud moments when he lightens up Dubai Phil for knowingly sending himself up .....actually each and every one has their good days, even Turks
  22. that did make me laugh
  23. I dislike Liverpool a great deal, but i get the impression that Sterling is not a very noce person at all. If his career peters out i will not be sad
  24. ive just logged on to see the normal moans and groans about Pelle and man not staying on his feet, and then see this Lol I would love to see Sherwoods smug face now
  25. Do not disrespect that table cloth, Tracy Emmin has given her time ,free of charge , to recreate her lovers named on a tent. She is to write all the people , businesses , and charities Pompey have F##### on it. The only difference being, that she will have to use both sides of the material not just one side
