  1. Robbie im sure you have conjured the list up in all good faith but dont't you think you should not be xampaigning for the managers rmovaljust yet? Many say we are a laughing stock as a club, but the fans to call for them nager to be sacked after 3 games!!!!!! Wotte may have been brought in at the same time but he did not have control over tactics coaching and teams etc.Give us a break supporting saints is tough enough let alone this strife all the time.
  2. i dont understand, are you implying there was an incident between the US and Russian subs?
  3. I have become diencchanted with the national team for many years. To watch players who are earning £35pw upwards and cannot control the ball drives me mad.To see the Spaniards caress the football and play such beautiful football hurts when I look at our lot.i have criticised beckham in the past and find it galling he has got as many caps as a real great in Bobby Moore, but he did play with heart desire and with skill. Upson as an international centre half just shows how little there is to pick from. The PL was always going to be at the detriment of England and as we have the sides packed with foreign players the English coming through dont get a chance or enough experience. crouch has lost his edge as well he tries to chest everything down and by the time it gets to the ground the defender nicks it away.
  4. Perhaps the softer side of SFC might be what we need.i personally dont thnk she is the right person and too intelligent no doubt to take the poisoned chalice on.
  5. I expect they look on here as do Radio hants because its useful to see what gets a section of fans debating. That in turn is used to coax listeners and readers if they hit on news that fans are talking about. So you are right in a way as the agenda may be set at times by what is sparking forums.
  6. Are you saying that you think this forum has more readers than the echo!!
  7. you'll get the wrath of Alpine when he sees your original post StR lol
  8. Its nit worth thinking about.I supect the results in the next few weeks will have a massive bearing on it.i cant recall what date it has to be done by,sometime in march i think. We are not dead yet we have been in a lot worse positions than this before.
  9. It all depends who you have at the wheel, a boy racer or Police qualified instructor.it depends where you stand which one you believe is in control. For me the Wilde bunch were the boy racers. If you believe that the protests will help our club to better performances then go down that route, it matters not 1 jot what i think. We may be doomed whatever as we seem to have a death wish on both sides.I want RL gone(and the rest as well) as the club may have a more unified fanbase. The SU game last season was superb as it was the first time in a long time I saw Saints fans with real smiles on their faces, we had escaped by the skin of our teeth but sadly the skin is thinner this season.
  10. I have been supportive of the club staying out of administration.Show me where I have been supportive of Jan.I could see (and know) some of the problems the club was up against financially. In principle using the acadamy is a sound idea but it always needed a few of the older players in the side.Jan could not communicate and didnt talk tactics. His substitutions were poor and his reading of the game also. I was prepared to give the man a chance as i was NP. I dont think NP is a fantastic manager.Time will tell , next season will tell us more when his squad plays up against tougher opposition. They should neve gone down but they wre complacent and also didnt take to Holloways methods. I am happy that you are with Alpine are you related ('Aust'saint) If you shout negative enough times you will get some right, it is easier to be critical than positive and I could say time and again if you dont play world class players you are not going to be successful. We have no divine right to afford the star players we had, they had to be shipped out as the club could not afford them, if it was so easy every team in the CCC would have them. Financial restraints come first and foremost, football first is a joke and people who believe that football comes before finance are naive, whoever is in charge of the club.
  11. may i also add you ought to go onto the thread about 2 of our footballers said to have assaulted a fan and put up your disgust about all the puns about takeaway food.If you haven't read it you'd better because you could go on and be outraged.lol
  12. Alpine I doubt you know what a smile is, i doubt you could in real life be as dour and humourless negative and depressing as you come over on here.
  13. My god, the messiah the man who told us that having to lose the best players and play the youth wouldn't work, nobody else would have sensed that. the fact that we were shipping money and couldnt sustain it failed to regisiter. You are such a visionary. How about you telling us again about your constant support of the Wilde bunch, how you argued until you were blue in the face that they were the choice to take us to bright future. That i was a Lowe luvvie and so couldnt see the truth, dont give us that Alpine you were one of many that were sceptical, many were prepared to try it as a way of keeping out of administration.Jan could not get the home victories and that is his downfall, the away results were more than satisfactory all things considered." more home wins and we would be far more relaxed about things.
  14. Its what Corp Doh told me
  15. Rupert Lowe's Vision Has Failed , he should go to Specsavers then
  16. ILL in the HEAD SAINT comes up with a gem.
  17. A lot depends on whether you want Saints to survive. We are on the precipice, the decisions have been made and I doubt there is time for anyone to reverse them as the window has cdlosed and the loans out there are not high quality. They are only stop gaps. So I beleive what NC is saying is true.Um and yourself and many others of us live for Saints to a major degree. If we cause more unrest and dissatisfaction to the detriment of the club we are shooting ourselves in the foot. If the fans could call a truce and support the club (they have at games already this season and have apart from once been fully supportive) and then turn the attention on RL's position i would be prepared to hold fire on any s/t purchases and I expect many others would as well. A lot of fans like myself I believe see the club as a wounded animal and will defend it to save it from more injury. There are times for the chairman to be removed and protests , when you are 4 points away from safety the club is close to going broke it is best that you rally around not go on a campaign to wound it more. All the people who wish for administration, i lose respect for as they dont have any idea what that would mean to the club and its health longterm.(apart from the hurt to its suppliers many who would go bust due to it as well) RL will not be here forever, the effects of administration /relegation will be with us for generations to come.
  18. You are a long way from the real truth there.
  19. Yeah and Kidd was Fergies second in commnad as well, I expect he's leaving man u to go to FP The new owners may well be the receivers
  20. Never met him but his media persona doesnt make me wish to.I know through business a few people who hunt and fish with him and they say he's Ok and his father also.
  21. Is the e-mail a wind up or true Cardiff, it may be a doublre bluff
  22. Egg on my face sorry...oh I mean egg on the fans face
  23. Stanley, i dont think anyone has scarves or rosettes in support of RL but some see that he is not ALL bad. That doesnt mean we have little shrines to him with burning candles on them in reverence. I suspect you and many others were in love with the Wilde bunch and some even bought T-shirts that is something you never can aim at the RL crowd.MW 's bunch were a failure the ones who understand a lttle of RL's position again dont wish to jump out of the frying pan again.Get a board who are likely to come up with the goodas nad I suspect you will get 100% support and Rl will be one of them.
  24. I of course can not tell you any more than I have. I pass on as much as I can without causing my friends any difficulties.I do understand if you dont believe but i can only give out so much. At first (when Jan was still manager) Wotte was seen as arrogant and woud eat himself if made of chocolate. When he took over they had a meeting , the whole playing squad and staff.Wotte addressed them and then others had their say.It seemed to bring a lot of things into the open but also I believe that the players became more warm to him. Since then the squad have been more united (not that they were very divided before)and I have been told they were really cheesed off as they really were up for the Watford game.Perhaps it is because they can see a strcture and plan that was not laid out for them before, but a belief is there.
  25. BTF I think encouraging people to buy a house at present would be unwise.(not saying that you are) Our own bank of England are saying we are in for a very bad recession. The estate agents are now trying to whip up a frenzy by talking up the market.i even heard a report saying that there is going to be a housing shortage next year and so it is a god time to buy. Nobody , NOBODY knows what is likely to happen, this may be the good old days in a years time. It is time to baton down the hatches and get rid of as much debt as you possibly can even if it means not having a new car or holiday. I read that the former chairman of HBOS said theor problems were down to the credit markets drying up, lol.nothing to do with letting the derivitive dealers and the rocket scientists being given a free reign. ps I notice your friend Mr Brown's financial advisor has resigned, boy are the chickens coming home to roost for us all due to having those clowns in charge.
