I can think of an old one who was born in Southampton, Graham Roberts. Joined Saints as an associate schoolboy but released as not making the grade. Went to non league football after a spell with Portsmouth. Ended up playing a pivotal role for Tottenham, Rangers and Chelsea and 6 caps for England. Just one of many players released at schoolboy/academy level who went on to be top class players. Same with other clubs though, not unique to Saints.

An afterthought.... After 11 games last season we were 18th with 8 points and a -17 goal difference. Watford and Norwich were below us and ended up relegated. The other was Bournemouth 7th with 16 points and + 1 goal difference.

The big issue seems to be loading the forum topic listings. Home page loads ok but click on The Saints and it errors out every time. Reload home and then I click on time of last post. Scroll up to time when I was last on to read all on that topic from then and use the go to next unread. only way it works for me on android phone and windows edge laptop.

Its the Russians and Chinese Steve. Found it fine some days and bad others. Get on site ok but then cannot get forum topics to load. Found by clicking on last post time I get a better response and then use next unread topic indicator to carry on through. Not perfect but it is a bit quicker at times

Rossouw only signed a white ball contract for 2020. Edwards not returning this year because of COVID restrictions. As he is a Kolpak and not valid after this season he will return next year for a testimonial. Allowed 2 overseas from next season so Abbott and one more Abbott and Wheal not in this country due to COVID

That is what happened to me. BT Halo hub took 24 hrs. 4G a little less time but all fine now.

I had to restart my phone to get to this new site. My laptop using windows goes to default unless I restart. So I tried my wife's iPad which has never been used for searching saintweb. Searched through google and it brings up the old page. So that is 3 different operating systems. You have a redirect problem Steve. My last post of the day

Steve, I am getting it sometimes on my galaxy A40 and my laptop but come out and go in again and it takes me to old site. Happening on both. Took me three attempts to get this site. Had it on laptop but it has now reverted to the old. Not many posts on new site today suggests many not getting on.
