Interesting on Sunday as Jonathan Moss is refereeing and he does not like Redmond and I understand the feeling is mutual. From a very good professional source who I will not name as he has run the line at Southampton this season.

Agree there is no way we should sell him this window. We must make a stand.

To lighten up this thread but still on the Scousers theme. "The Ferrari F1 team fired their entire pit crew yesterday." This announcement followed Ferrari's decision to take advantage of the British government's 'Work for your Dole' scheme and employ some Scousers The decision to hire them was brought about by a recent documentary on how unemployed youths from Croxteth were able to remove a set of wheels in less than 6 seconds without proper equipment, whereas Ferrari's existing crew could only do it in 8 seconds with millions of pounds worth of high tech equipment. It was thought to be an excellent, bold move by the Ferrari management team as most races are won and lost in the pits, giving Ferrari an advantage over every other team. However, Ferrari got more than they bargained for. At the crew's first practice session, not only was the Scouse pit crew able to change all four wheels in under 6 seconds but, within 12 seconds, they had re-sprayed, re-badged and sold the car to the Mclaren team for 8 cases of Stella, a bag of weed and some photos of Lewis Hamilton's bird in the shower.

Afridi injured and Dawson back with England in preparation for the Test tomorrow. Decent win puts us back into contention for QF's

4 years ago Liverpool were in the same position and stood firm.....so should we. Liverpool/Virgil should show respect. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/10229750/Luis-Suarez-ordered-to-train-alone-as-furious-Liverpool-manager-Brendan-Rodgers-accuses-striker-of-a-total-lack-of-respect.html

Excusez-moi s'il vous plait, parlez-vous l'anglais?

No different.

I really do not want him to play for Southampton again. He has shown total disrespect. However if we sell him now it will send out the wrong messages to the players and other clubs. But I ask one big question of the supporters on here. If you had an opportunity to double your wages, be part of a bigger audience and more riches that might follow, just for doing the same job with the same risks what would you decide? The club have a massive decision to make because £50m + is a great return on our investment. I am happy to leave it with them. I will support any decision they make on this issue.

Why not. End of year is 2nd July 2017.

They have all been at Southampton FC for a while. Tim Greenwell was Legal now Company Secretary Toby Steele was Company Secretary before Greenwell David Thomas is Commercial Director Martin Semmens is Chief Commercial Director Nothing particularly changed. ST MARY'S FOOTBALL GROUP LIMITED is the holding company.

Was also told no food at the 6.40 interval (we would have tea and a slice of cake at that time in day cricket) but chef agreed to stay on to accomodate us. Will mention it to the Directors or Rod when I see them next. Hardly encourages after work walk up!

First experience of watching pink ball cricket and so far I am not impressed. Ball had to be changed after 20 overs as it had gone out of shape. Saw it at the end of the day. As the ball got older than about 60 overs I could no longer pick it out in the field. Saw it well when new ball taken. Overton said he was not enjoying it. Game a bit flat. Dawson said it was like hitting a piece of soap. Very slow when going across the outfield. Had the advantage of examining all three balls after the end of Hampshires innings. Not impressed. As for the game.....well lets see what Somerset do in reply. Survived a tricky 6 overs before the close. To answer Dark Munster's question Rossouw scores since he came back from injury first class only - 0, 0, 0, 13, 17, 4, 0, 0

Adam LeitchVerified account @adamleitchsport 5m5 minutes ago More For those asking about Tuchel, he was briefly considered but didn't make the #saintsfc shortlist

We have Brad Taylor as another spin option. Lets not forget Ervins as well:)

That should spur the team on

SWEEPSTAKE ALERT - Puel departure announcement timing - all welcome
Weston Saint replied to CB Fry's topic in The Saints
Think he is staying. I am sure review completed. He is under contract so no need to announce anything unless he is going. I believe those who say we will be relegated with him are being a bit of a "drama queen" He did not get us relegated this year so why should he next. Unless he changes then we will be bored ..itless at home games but he and the team have enough about them to stay above the dross points wise. -
Ian Holland playing for 2nds Last game 192 for 2nds against Kent Few weeks ago in 2nds against Essex 5/46, 109, 4/90, 89 and at the beginning of the season 4/29 He was in the squad of 13 but they seem to have bottled it.

You were right, I was wrong.

First, we were without one of our strike bowlers when Fidel went off with a shoulder injury and unlikely bowl again this match. Secondly the ball went soft and slightly out of shape so less effective. Much better today so far. All out having only added 117 for 8 wickets. Now we have to back it up with our batting!

Saints 0 Man Utd 0 - Buildup, Match and over-reactions Thread

Initially was not going as I was staying at cricket, then with rain decided to go as no one was going to use my season ticket. A few minutes ago had an invite from a friend to be there at 5.15 to join him in a corporate box with all that goes with it:) No brainer! Hope we play better than we have been at home. Put out the team that started the cup final! -
I am going to join this debate late. When the season started with our new Manager I thought I would be happy with 10-14 in the league providing we had a decent run in Europe. We failed to some extent in the European adventure but made up for it in the League Cup by reaching the final. We had a loss of players in the transfer window last summer that could have made a difference and some bad injuries during the campaign. However, that has supplemented, in part, by the emergence of other fringe/young players. Last season we finished 6th and that was said to be partly due to the poor form of some other clubs at the top end of the table. We are likely to finish between 8th and 11th and some are arguing that our points tally suggests we are in a false position and due to teams below us having poor form. Both are correct so we are where we are on merit. I would have been happy with our finish but one thing is clear and that is we are boring at home most of the time. I do not go to away games but reports suggest we are more effective away from home that at home, entertainment wise. Speaking to many of my friends they think Puel has done a decent job with the players at his disposal but do not like his brand of football and that is turning people off. I am prepared to give Puel another year but only just.

Ha HaHa...if they really knew who you were

Berg had a slight ankle problem so they rested him.

It is all about wickets taken. If Hamshire had scored the 146 runs for 2 wickets they would have won by 3 runs. That is what was annoying us at the ground. There was no need to take risks. 4.78 runs per over to that time! However they played as if no weather interruption which was correct but poor batting was our downfall
