Not entirely sure with some of this. Theo was playing up front for us, was getting plenty of game time and his confidence was very high. There will have been plenty of positives for Theo in joining Arsenal but his confidence was knocked big time and this has probably taken the edge off some of the benefits of being in the Arsenal set-up. There is no way of knowing if a Saints Theo would be a better or worse player that an Arsenal Theo but it isn't unreasonable to suggest that he would have developed very well by staying a Saint for a year of two more, playing more regularly and playing up-front. Having said that I don't blame him at all for leaving when he did, I'd have done exactly the same.
