  1. Fair play to Cuco for having the balls to try a shot like that especially from that distance, would like to see us shoot from outside the box more often.
  2. Just to further add to what has already been stated on here, if we come up against an Arsenal side in this form on Saturday we are in serious, SERIOUS, trouble.

Fair comment, perhaps he's lost motivation having been given a taste of first team action and now he nor anyone else is getting a look in. I remember his performance against Everton last season where he absolutely bossed the midfield, think it was Barkley he marked completely out of the game. Perhaps he'd be a disappointment if he was bought back into the fold but RK has to try something, and I'd prefer to see someone like Reed giving 100% than watching Fat Vic going through the motions. Its bad enough that Ryan Seager can't get anywhere near the first team yet ineffective strikers like Long and Juanmi do.

Baffles me that we continue to persist playing an uninterested liability like Victor, yet Harrison Reed, a player that would put in double the effort can't even make the bench.
  5. Are you watching via the sportsmania website and not Kodi? First time I logged onto the new look website today and the new menus threw me out as I was used to the old look. They've introduced new scroll down menus on the left with each channel as a heading which drop down into a list when you click them.
  6. Lukaku is tearing their defence to bits like he did against us a few times. Why on earth Chelsea let him go I'll never know.
  7. An ex premier league club now struggling at the bottom of the Championship up against a non league club doing very well. It would be a giant killing if Eastleigh won and that's exactly what the FA Cup is supposed to be about. As a neutral I'd much rather watch games like this instead of United or Chelsea who seem to be on tv at least once a fortnight already. Oxford vs Swansea and Wycombe vs Villa are infinitely more exciting as a neutral in terms of a cup upset than United or Chelsea.
  8. Was really hoping the Eastleigh game would be televised, the pay day would have been good for them. The fact that they've chosen United and Chelsea though really is a joke, as I said above they show United regardless of the opposition as they will attract the highest viewing figures justifying the respective networks expensive tv deals.
  9. Man United seem to be on TV every 3rd round regardless of who or where they are playing, it's a joke!
  10. Not a fan really bats, Eastleigh have a good tie, as do Whitehawk if they can potentially get through the replay, other than that I find it a bit meh. Fully expect Spurs/Leicester, man Utd/sheff Utd, and Everton/Whitehawk assuming they get through all being on tv. Reckon Eastleigh have a shout too as there's definitely chance for an upset there given form and Boltons off field issues.
  11. I reckon that's about the most boring 3rd round draw I've ever seen.
  12. Love the buzz of 3rd round draw day, please draw the s****s at home!
  13. Yoshida against Villa coincidentally. Pretty awful that he tries something that none of our AM's nor strikers seem to.
  14. **** off you self-righteous *****. I booed the little **** because of the manner in which he left us, refusing to play for us again and signing autographs on Liverpool shirts before he had even left us He deserves everything he gets for taking our money via his wages and disrespecting the club he was supposed to be captain of.
  15. This is ****ing embarassing, what the hell is going on.
  16. Asolutely shocking defending this.

Are you really so naive? It was reported we had made an estimated £48 million by the end of the 02-03 season, with prize money, tv rights and merchandising, particularly with our bumper cup run. On top of that we sold Wayne Bridge for £8million, got the same amount the season prior for Dean Richards, yet hardly any of this got pumped back into the team. We were well known for being one of the lowest wage payers in the league, and our record signing remained Rory ****ing Delap. We all know the final straw for WGS was when Lowe refused to give him the funds for Saha and Malbranque from Fulham as he didn't believe in paying money to our "rivals", when the more likely truth was he just didn't want to spend the money full stop. Lowe and his cronies clearly enjoyed their share of the extra riches, and wanted to run this club like any other business, putting in as little as possible to keep us bobbing along without spending the cash to really take us to the next level. Compare that to now where all of the money we make is being pumped back into the team and facilities and we're no longer just making up the numbers. Tou state that our last cup final came under them but what does that really prove. We had a VERY favourable run to the final, and never really faced decent competition until the end. If we'd have won the thing then you might have a valid argument.

We got the opportunity to see our team lift a trophy at Wembley. Regardless of the competition that's something a lot of football fans will never see in their lifetime. What exactly do you win for 37 years in the top flight?

Even if it meant 10 more years of Lowe and his boys milking all the profits? Bugger that, give me the Liebherr takeover, 3 years of some of the best away days ever, better atmospheres home and away, JPT final, cheap tickets, winning week in week out, and double promotions leading to record breaking Premier League finishes. 37 unbroken years in the top flight would be impressive I agree, but you don't get trophies for essentially making up the numbers.

Like most I grow weary of reading the rubbish about the 'Vocal Minority' and 'Hoddle' from Dalek, but the fact is it was a majority, myself included, that didn't want Hoddle back. He had used us as a stepping stone and **** on us the first chance he got. The justified abuse shown to him each time he came back with Spurs, especially the 4-0, showed our feelings towards him and considering Strachan took us as high as 4th shortly before he left and Hoddle had failed at Spurs he was hardly going to be a step up. His managerial record after he left hardly set the world alight, so instead of going on about who Lowe didn't bring in with Hoddle, Dalek should be bemoaning who Lowe DID bring in. I remember prior to Luggy coming in it was a near certainty that the next manager was going to be French, the Echo even ran a story from Strachan saying the next manager will be French, It was rumoured to be one of either Jean Tigana, Alain Perrin, and there was a third that I can't remember. Next thing I know we've got some bloke from Plymouth that most people had never heard of. It was doomed before it begun. For what it's worth I'm glad things turned out the way they did, despite the roller coaster of emotions we've been through the past ten years I wouldn't change it for the world, we'd have probably had 10 seasons of mediocre mid table football with no ambition, with Lowe still at the helm.
  21. I'm actually quite surprised football hasn't been targeted sooner to be honest, espicially in winter with big padded jackets and the like I don't think it'd be that hard to gain entry at all. With regards to the exterior of the stadium, the northam/kingsland exits leading up to the overpass and underpass are incredibly packed after a game, shudder to think what could happen there. As Pilchards says above just have to hope it's not your day and get on with life really.
  22. Weird thread, bit of I Know something you don't know attention seeking ITK crap, but disappearing when people start asking him to spill the beans.
  23. Eastleigh and the s****s through to the 2nd round of the cup, the south coast derby is still a possibility!!
  24. Thoroughly deserved result, thought we were comfortable and managed to hold Sunderland at arms length most of the time. Disappointed we didn't create more clear cut chances, but very happy with a win none the less.
