I have just emailed them and told them in no uncertain terms to get it on there and show extended highlights etc.

A deluge of similar emails would be good. :smt091

The Poopety result is on there FFS!!

AGREED! I couldn't believe it when I noticed it while keeping tabs on the 'Ampshire score earlier. Shocking!!

As far as I can recall, there was no mention on BBC radio or TalkSport and it's not in the list of friendly results on the BBC website despite it listing such important games as Spalding Utd v Luton XI. That said, the BBC has no record of our game against Ajax either.

Been sat here watching SSN for about 45mins since Mrs went to bed waiting to see Rasiaks' strikes.

Thanks for letting me know they have't even bothered to roll the tape on the game,

I suppose thats what happens when you beat the jocks, nobody really cares ;)

This isn't the first time this has happened recently and we haven't been listed in some National press either, that's been the case for both fixtures and results. I thought maybe it was because we don't get same attention to detail now being in L1 but then noticed a lot of L2 and Non league fixtures and results were still printed... so none the wiser.

Just a guess but this game was only recently arranged. I'm assuming Sky contact clubs and ask for a list of pre season fixtures and this wouldn't have been one of the ones we listed because it hadn't been arranged at the time.

That is correct!

It's not like they have a spare camera in the cupboard because someone arranged a friendly a couple of weeks ago.

I prefer people not knowing we won because when we play Millwall our team will show Britain that we mean business.

Comes back to the age old being a fan - if you want to see goals get yourself down to SMS!

Do not rely upon SKY, BBC or ITV to save you the effort!

Problem is the world-wide spread of us Saints fans. Still, I'll be at the Millwall and Brentford games, at least. I was also idly looking at the Flybe schedules for Geneva-Southampton yesterday, but I could only justify it for next March if we are near the top and I get plenty of work this next academic year...

It's a little bizarre tbh

Most bookies have been betting on a range of low profile pre-season friendlies, but Saints v Hearts and Ajax didn't appear on any lists at all.

Our game at Cheltenham though had a range of prices available

Report in Scotland on Sunday:

Southampton 3 - 0 Hearts: Hearts left floundering as Saints go marching in:

THREE well-executed goals exemplified the clinical ability of Alan Pardew's Southampton as they dispensed with Hearts in a pre-season friendly of few clear chances.
