Fish Mills -one to watch

I wouldn't say he will be competing with Lallana for a CM position  He will play as a left winger/attacking full back.

A very talented young player though, i believe he was scouted by Man Utd about 3-4 years ago - he just took a little longer to develop and was overshadowed by Bale bursting onto the scene in my ways.

Mmmm! Think they're mixing him up with his brother "played centre half." "dominance in the air." I do think he'll have a decent season though and hopefully improve like Gillett and James did last term.

Made me laugh as well, he's only about 4'10" is he not ???

Quality player.

We need to do all we can to keep hold of him, Paterson and Lallana they're the three with the most potential in our squad imo. Really glad he stuck with us and didn't go to Scunny.

i would say lallana, fish and LJ, with hopefully in the next couple of years patterson, gobern and mclaggon, the likes of thomson, jamie white and maybe a few others might really flourish under Pardew. Either way, really looking forward to seeing how these guys do with stability and better managment

I got the impression that Ryan Doble put in several impressive performances in the pre-season games. Isn't he one to watch too?

Difference is, he will be given time to develop and a place here and there on the bench or in the Carling Cup. He won't be thrown in in a sink or swim fashion, like the youngsters were last season.

I agree that it was crass playing the kids last season when they patently weren't ready. I only mentioned Doble in the same breath as ribbo mentioned McLaggon, Thomson, White, Paterson, Gobern as good prospects, as he doesn't seem to be far adrift of them. Definitely one for the future as far as I can see and I'm sure that we will polish him up gradually and build his confidence and ability at the right pace.

absoloutly, imo LJ, Lallana and fish have played enough senior games at what ever clubs to prove they have potential, whilst the others i've mentioned have not but will..

i've also got faith in Olly, his confidence must be in shreds but CB's take a while to learn the game, after all there was a reason why he was so well thought of in the academy.
