Legod Third Coming Posted 7 September, 2009 Share Posted 7 September, 2009 Are the reserves playing our 1st team? LMFAO. On a serious note, I think Lee Holmes would be a bloody superstar in this league. Yes, based on seeing him only half a dozen times, but his delivery from the left is excellent and he nearly always goes OUTFECKINGSIDE!!! hooray! chrisobee Posted 7 September, 2009 Share Posted 7 September, 2009 Anyone know the team we put out? Are Jaidi or Waigo playing? No idea, it's hard enough getting info on the 1st team if you don't live in or near Southampton ! I would very much doubt Jaidi or Waigo are cleared to play though. Good to see Holmes back ! S-Clarke Posted 7 September, 2009 Share Posted 7 September, 2009 FT 6-1 Scorers - OG...Molly, White, Wotton, Olly Lancashire, Mills worrying bit in the middle of the write up though... Concern was raised on 64 minutes when Mills went down on half way which left the youngster needing treatment. The left sided player was able to return to the action but was later (as in 2 mins later) replaced by Academy prospect Garyn Preen. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/ReservesNews/0,,10280~1790386,00.html

Simon_UK Posted 7 September, 2009 Share Posted 7 September, 2009 Just back form the game. Cracking start 1-0 up in 33 seconds, 3-0 up within 5 minutes, and 6-1 by halfway through the first half, we completely overran them in midfield, Jake Thomson and Lee Holmes on th wings were superb, and wotton and Mills in the middle were excellent. Lee Molyneux's goal for 2-0 was the pick of the bunch, edge of the box, top corner.

the saint in winchester Posted 7 September, 2009 Share Posted 7 September, 2009 Did this game kick-off at 7pm? Are the Reserves 6-1 up at half-time? Apparently so! On the website through the day there was a piece that said 7.45pm kick-off. The lad and I got there at 7.25, couldn't get in the car park and thought "wow, lot gonna be here by kick off". Blow me down, when we get in it transpired it kicked off at 7pm, and we are 6-1 up. Oh well, thinks I, should see double figures! Nah, game over. A bit of a yawn between 25 and 90 minutes. Not sure we learned a lot other than that Pulis doesn't want to get involved. Everything went through Holmes.
