A book should be written

Someone (Fitzhugh Fella?) should write a book.

There are plenty " The rise and fall of ....." books, but we should have one describing the reverse:

The Fall And Rise of Southampton FC.

I don't know about you all, but I would buy such a book.

Perhaps we should wait until we have actually risen ;-)

An account of last season whilst grim reading would be interesting. You'd have to get Crouch, Wilde, Lowe, Poortvleit and Wotte on board which is doubtful but you could definitely see something of "The damned united" in a book like that. Can't see the current regime commenting on anything since they've been in charge and that would probably be right and premature.

I think such a suggestion should be put on hold for a while.Certainly we would have to be well above 15th in L1 before talking of our "rise".

In principle though it is a good idea.Perhaps an intwerview with Paul Allen would make interesting ,although perhaps short, reading.

Someone recently put a link up to new site that he is now sharing his pearls of wisdom with a few days ago.

I agree. Already suggested this...

It should be called 'Southampton FC, The Low(e) Years'

I do agree that a book should be written about he last few years, but with all due respect to Duncan I think it should be wrtiien by someone from "outside" who could remain objective.

I'd love to know the truth about what really went on and not something that was clouded by personal animosity.

No thanks, anyone writing this should be impartial...

Not sure impartial is possible any more. Most fans just want to read that Lowe was the biggest Tw*t and it was all his fault - anything that attempts to investigate more than that or finds that more than one person is to blame will be seen as a lowe luvvie diatribe and dismissed and slagged on here.

Fans simply dont want to listen to anything that is not a pure and simple tale of how Lowe fecked us up good and proper so no need for any book. Even if it contained the pure unadulterated truth, I dont think it would be accepted.

FF himself has posted on this forum that he feels it would be inappropriate for him to write such a book.
