doddisalegend Posted 12 February, 2010 Share Posted 12 February, 2010 You know I've never seen that sort of thing at a saints match. Maybe I need to sit some where else (I sit in the chapel), plenty of the refs a ******, you fat bastard that sort of thing but never any thing rascist or homophobic (maybe I'm just lucky). Does this sort of thing go on at St Marys?

Does this sort of thing go on at St Marys? Nope. I think the FA imagine that we're all like Lord Triesman or something. There's no homophobia or racism in football, unless you include a governing body constituted of white middle aged hetorosexual men...
brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 12 February, 2010 Share Posted 12 February, 2010 I try at least one racist and homophobic chant every game, but it seems that everyone has moved on from the 6o's and 70's :-) (except pompey)

SFC Forever Posted 12 February, 2010 Share Posted 12 February, 2010 Most of the swearing is aimed at the ref in every game I see. The usual fat bastard as the goalie takes the goal kick but nothing like that.

Neuro-linguistic programming teaches us that we you say 'NO' the sub-conscous, or uncouscoius mind, interprets that as yes. To prove my point, DON'T Think of a yellow tree. See, you did. So theyin has, unwittingly, given us all a sub-conscous message that we should be homophobic. Why would you do that? Why? None of us had a racist or homophobic bone in our body until you did this. I hope you are happy with yourself. For shame!"!!!!!!"

for_heaven's_Saint Posted 13 February, 2010 Share Posted 13 February, 2010 When we played Brighton this season, some of the usual banter turned into homophobic abuse. Despite it obviously not being directed at one particular fan, and the majority of their fans not being gay, it made for a pretty uncomfortable atmosphere. Yes maybe 5% of the population is gay - 95% arent. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/3456635.stm
