The game "may" be available to watch on the FC Sochraux website.

 

Depends what they mean when they say "follow" on the English translated version of their website.

 

To follow the game

The match between Southampton Football Club and FC Sochaux-Montbéliard will be played in Fribourg, Switzerland on the pitch of the Stade Universitaire Saint-Léonard, on Saturday July 17th, at 18:00.

I think thats our strongest available starting XI

Connolly for Barnard, doubt that Butters would play so soon after joining, Richardson probably better anyway. Just realised you left out Lallana as well.

I thought he wouldn't be playing today as they wanted to make sure he wasn't injured for start of season and wanted to be careful with him

Interesting to see if Richardson does play otherwise it may mean the speculation on the Charlton fans forum about his shoulder could be true. Prefer to see Butterfield given some sort of run out even if it's only last 20 minutes. Still think Lallana will not feature until some of the UK friendlies.

Well he isnt starting....and the fact they flew Butterfield out to Switzerland for this game too.

I reckon there is some truth in it and that he is injured.

yep, does look to be the case. He was featured in day 1 of the swiss diary, but since then...nothing....not even in any of the pics. Wonder if he's been flown back to get the proper treatment? must be a bad one of true.

Any dislocated shoulder if that's what it is is not pleasant but 2-3 weeks rest is essential.

22' Remis d'Édouard Butin pour Maurice-Belay à seize mètres de la cage anglaise. La tentative du gaucher n'est pas cadrée.

20' Bon travail de conservation de Boudebouz qui sert ensuite Mikari. La passe de ce dernier trouve Brown Ideye qui est retenu en pleine surface. L'arbitre de la partie de bronche pas. Il y a très propablement penalty !

18' Corner frappé par Marvin Martin. Au second poteau, une tête sochalienne reprend. C'était une nouvelle fois cadré, mais pour être encore une fois repoussé par un défenseur anglais.

13' Combinaison entre Nicolas Maurice-Belay et Édouard Butin qui se conclue par une frappe de Brown Ideye. C'était cadré, mais dévié en corner...

10' Ce début de rencontre est à l'avantage du FCSM.

6' Bon dédoublement entre Mikari et Maurice-Belay qui se termine par un centre du Tunisien. Ça passe devant toute le monde sans que le ballon en soit repris. Dommage.

5' Bonne entame de rencontre de la part des deux équipes. Il y a tout pour un bon match avec qui plus est une température impeccable.

4' La première petite occasion est sochalienne. Maurice-Belay donne en profondeur pour Brown Ideye. C'est trop profond pour le Nigérian.

0' En comparaison du match disputé il y a trois jour, l'équipe sochalienne peut compter sur les renforts de Richert, Maurice-Belay, Boudebouz, Ideye et Butin.

0' La troupe de Francis Gillot est toujours dans l'attente de son premier but marqué et de sa première victoire cette saison.

Well at least things have calmed down and they're not creating as many chances but still sounds like there's only one team likely to score - and thats not us.

Big opportunity for the FCSM! Good work by Brown Ideye who plays two defenders after a series of dribbling and striking at goal. The ball is blocked by the goalkeeper. It boils down to the feet of Marvin Martin, who hit too above.
