Mase Posted 1 September, 2010 Share Posted 1 September, 2010 Is this something for my Nokia 6230i? Not sure if this is a joke or not? But you won’t be able to have this on any phone other than an iPhone. This looks like a fantastic app though!

Pancake Posted 1 September, 2010 Share Posted 1 September, 2010 Wow, the Football League has made an app. How is this an "Official Saints FC app" when it doesn't include info on non-FL things? Yawn..

Pancake Posted 1 September, 2010 Share Posted 1 September, 2010 (edited) Would this work with an i-Touch? It's got wi-fi so it could update that way I s'pose? Would there be any point? That's what I'm using it on. You have to be online to use it though, no offline caching of info! Edited 1 September, 2010 by Pancake
Saint Fan CaM Posted 1 September, 2010 Share Posted 1 September, 2010 That's what I'm using it on. You have to be online to use it though, no offline backing of info! Mmm, bit pointless possibly. Mind you, if on hols abroad and at wi-fi point it might come in handy at some point. And it's free so no loss.
saintscottofthenortham Posted 1 September, 2010 Share Posted 1 September, 2010 I have been On about this to them for a while. I was asked how much I thought would be a reasonable price, I said if it was worth it, £2.99. Good to see it's free but I'm only just about to check it out. trousers Posted 1 September, 2010 Share Posted 1 September, 2010 There's a 'premium' upgrade available for £4.99 per season. Gives you video clips of games. Now, if they could integrate the iPlayer for live matchday commentary on my iPhone that would be the icing on the cake. No doubt contractural 'difficulties' prevent that happening though.... saintscottofthenortham Posted 1 September, 2010 Share Posted 1 September, 2010 Ok, just seen it's not direct from the club but is actually a Football league thing. Will pay the £4.99, but get the feeling i wont be satisfied.

Absolutely! BUT only if the they sorted out the quality of the Saintsplayer. Downloading it now but I have a feeling its essentially a portal to a website like the "newsletter" effort they send round. If you want to share content put the bloody content in the email your sending to us don't make me open a browser and download a page full of images and ads. JonnyLove Posted 2 September, 2010 Share Posted 2 September, 2010 Free version seems ok. All though I notice that the jpt result I'd not mentioned in our recent results. Probably because it's not football league as such as the football league cup (carling cup) v Bolton is listed
sussexsaint Posted 2 September, 2010 Share Posted 2 September, 2010 Hmm not really a 'Saints' app is it, just a window onto the website, and as you have to have internet connection to use it you are also in the position of being able to view the website using safari. Still it looks quite nice. Having touches like live tweets would make it better. I was really hoping that at long last this would be the way to get live commentary on an i device, would happily pay £4.99 or even more to get it as saintsplayer only works , when it feels like it, on the laptop/desktop which support flash. When I first saw it I thought it was going to be a football manager app

charlie saint Posted 2 September, 2010 Share Posted 2 September, 2010 THANK GOD they've got their priorities right! Kelvin's thoughtful insights on 'concentrating on the league' yesterday just weren't taking my mind off the wait-to-see which inadequate nonentity they were going to see fit to foist on us as manager. Now there's an 'app' for a telephone I'll never own, I don't care about the rest of the season. Brilliant.
