Son of Bob Posted 20 April, 2011 Share Posted 20 April, 2011 I was doing my annual clear-out of the shed prior to summer and as with every other year, I looked at my cobweb covered Dell seat in the corner and wondered if I'd actually get round to doing something with it over the summer. What have other people done with theirs? I suspect there are many sat gathering dust in sheds like mine but has anyone actually done anything imaginative with theirs? Ampersound Posted 20 April, 2011 Share Posted 20 April, 2011 I've the back of my seat in the attic. There's not much I can do with it I feel. My lump of turf died a few weeks later cus I forgot to water it.... like most plants I try to grow.

Barry the Badger Posted 20 April, 2011 Share Posted 20 April, 2011 My Dad turned mine into a chair for me. I think he still uses it, although to be honest it's not the most comfortable.
Scummer Posted 20 April, 2011 Share Posted 20 April, 2011 Why???? Because I've never been able to think of anything to do with them. Probably not 4 or 5 actually, I'm probably thinking 4 or 5 pieces ie seats and backs. So more like 2 seats. Red and white plastic ones from the Archers Road end, no frames or anything. ladysaint Posted 20 April, 2011 Share Posted 20 April, 2011 Saw a Saints fan on the underground who was carrying his seat from Orient this season, not sure why though.

krissyboy31 Posted 20 April, 2011 Share Posted 20 April, 2011 Still trying to work out what to do with mine. Couldn't understand why so many people were wrecking them to get them out, under the West Stand, it was as if everybody had come with spanners and socket sets. Deppo Posted 20 April, 2011 Share Posted 20 April, 2011 I never understood the logic of fans ripping out the seats. It must have cost the club a small fortune to replace them. Money better spent on new players.

The Cat Posted 20 April, 2011 Share Posted 20 April, 2011 Mine's hanging on the wall halfway up the stairs next to an aerial photo of the Dell. Loved the end of that last game against Brighton. Around me in the Archers all you could hear during the second half was people dismantling their seats. People had smuggled screwdrivers in to take them apart properly, while everyone else was just kicking them apart.

Yeah I was gonna covert mine into an office chair but didnt want to put holes in it. When I got it, there was chap near me who brought a complete toolkit so I was able to extract it with minimal damage.
